Ferit > Ayfer, March 5th, 6:03 PM
Ferit: Anne, Kiraz's responding to treatment. The doctor says she's going to be okay. Dad's sitting with her. Are you almost here? He's asking for you.
Ayfer: About five more mins. Eda passed out when I told her about Kiraz. You know she worries sick when one of us falls ill.
Ferit: I know. I'll cheer her up once she's here.
Ayfer: Serkan's bringing us to the hospital.
Ferit: That's good. Neither of you should be driving.
Ayfer: He's a good man. He really loves your sister.
Ferit: yes, Kiki and Serkan have made quite the connection. I'm sure she'll be thrilled to see him once she's awake.
Ayfer: Because I could only be referring to Kiraz, right, oğlum?
Ferit: You know what's going on...
Ayfer: Of course. I'm not sure how long Serkan will take this hot and cold deal that Eda has going on, though.
Ferit: He loves her.
Ayfer: He always did. He's loved your sister for a very long time.
Ferit: Then he better take it as long as she gives it. I won't forgive Serkan if he breaks Eda's heart again.
Ayfer: He won't.
Ferit: Alptekin is going next week. I know Serkan. I must admit I'm not as confident as you are, Anne.
Ayfer: That's definitely not good news.
Ferit: I know.
Ayfer: Kısmetse...
Ferit: Evet. See you soon.

Serkan had calmed her down. He'd hugged her tightly against his chest until her breathing had evened out, and she'd stopped crying. Then he hadn't let go of her hand the entire ride to the hospital, saying that Eda could hold onto him for as long as she needed.
Ayfer was allowed into Kiraz's room the second they arrived at the hospital, leaving a very anxious Eda to deal with the doctor. "We are trying to isolate the reason for such a severe allergic reaction. Does she have any food sensitivities?"
Eda tried to remember, "Kiraz couldn't eat sesame seeds and some nuts when she was younger. Or kiwi. But I don't think she's ever had a serious enough reaction for us to be concerned."
"What did Kiraz eat this afternoon when the symptoms started?"
Ferit responded, "I made her some toast. We decorated them to look like animals using cream cheese, peanut butter, Nutella, and fruit. We used bananas, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries...."
