24. The Games

Turning around, I put my hands on Kyle's cheeks. He smiles and leans his forehead against mine.

"So things are looking better," he says looking at me.

"Much better," I kiss his nose and hug him. Though he is wearing the same shirt for a while, almost two days, it still has that scent of his cologne.

Taking my hand we go back downstairs, Jadis is talking to Jordan, and Kyle's mom is holding all the evidence.

"Hey! It's them! Let's go!" Jadis heads for the door, but a vibration goes off on both our phones. Looking at her we both have the same confused facial feature. Glancing at the text, it reads,

"Can't wait to make you so embarrassed, you stupid, emo, self harming, worthless bitch, your going to be so embarrassed that your going to want to kill yourself afterwords." My vision starts to get blurry at the text, they are wrong! They are going to be the embarrassed ones!

"Alright, I'm so done with this, let's get this over with!" Jadis stomps out the door, slamming her phone into her bag. Kyle holds my hand and puts my phone back in my pocket.

"I'm here for you, I always am," I nod my head, going to school, one thing that I didn't want to do right now but, it needed to be done.

It's only three weeks into school and things have gone downhill, really fast. But things will come back up, I know it is. I just..

Can't give up yet.

Climbing into Mrs. Halls car we all head for school, to see our enemy, this fight will go over, and it will go down.

Pulling into the parking lot, it looks deserted. But soon it won't be, the principal is here in his office, all we are waiting for is the opposite side.

"Am I the only one who is nervous?" Another stupid question, most of them nod their heads.

"Oh no! I can't wait to get back at Katie! She's been annoying me all freaking year! And it hasn't even started!" Jadis rants, well I know she is fired up for this. It's a good thing for her, because I feel like I'm going to breakdown and have a panic attack once it gets really heated.

"Yeah," I feel Kyle's hand on top mine, "your not the only one, but I'm really scared. I've only seen Alexandra in the hallways, we never talk anymore, she has tried getting back with me, but I always push her away..."

"It's the right thing to do Kyle, I don't know what she did to you, but she has no right too get back with you.." I say kissing his cheek, he smiles and lets out a small giggle.

"Thanks Rosalina," he turns his head, the kiss on the cheek turns into kissing me.

"Guys," Jordan whines, "PDA.." We both come back, looking at Jordan we sticks out tongue out at him.

"Oh Jordan," I lay my head on Kyle's chest. Enjoying the silence for just a few moments, before it goes crazy.

"Here they are guys," Mrs. Halls says, "time to take action." We all get out of the car, I'm holding Kyle's hand, really tight.

"We got this Rosalina," he encourages me, Jordan comes up behind us and puts his arms around us.

"We do have this guys! Lets go!" The song, A Match To Water comes to my mind. The whole song starts to play, I find myself humming along to it.

Entering in the school building, we go straight for the office. This is one of my favorite places now, the principal is pretty awesome, and butler like. Opening the door everyone sits down on the chair, then the others come inside also.

We sit on opposite sides of the room, and the a door opens. There comes a literally butler, and he looks like Sebastian. He's got the eyes and everything, the smile is just, oh my gosh.

"My master tells you to divide into twos, he has the groups," he pulls out a list, my nerves start to get tight and my body temperature starts to rise, "Katie Yoder, Jadis Long, please, go to the art room," Jadis pounds her fist into her palm at Katie, those two walk out,

"Alexandra Tellum, Kyle David Hall," I look up at him, his eyes full of worry and horror, I give him a smile and squeeze his hands for encouragement, while she eyes him like bait, she is going to eat him alive, "make your way to the library, please."

"Riley Gish, Rose Aster," I hear a low chuckle come from Riley, he looks over at me and licks his lips. This isn't how I thought it was going to work, I thought it was going to be more of a talk on each side, show your proof and yeah, "make your way to the music room, please.."

This is like the Hunger Games, but it isn't every man for himself..its to the death. Not literally but, it feels like it.

One on one, one wins, the other gets tossed to the side, getting labeled 'worthless liar'.

Everyone gets to their room, two chairs, one table and a timer. I take a look up in the corner and there is a camera. Great, the principal is watching through this. But he knows my side of the story, that should make it clear who will win.
