Deanna had invited Alicia to their little welcoming party. She didn't really want to go, and had been trying to make an excuse in her mind all afternoon.

"Hey you home?"

She shut her book hearing Daryl's voice, standing up from the bed and walking into the living room. "What are you doing back so early?"

He chuckled, hanging his crossbow up. "Wasn't much to look at out there. It's all dead." He sighed, sitting down on the couch.

She nodded, walking over to him and sitting down sideways on his lap. She wrapped her arm around his shoulders, her hand playing with his hair.

"Wheres Jordi?" He asked, linking their hands together.

Alicia sighed, giving a small chuckle. "She finally went down for a nap." She shook her head. "That girl hates to sleep just about as much as you do."

Daryl nodded. "Your boyfriend invited us to his house for supper."

She furrowed her eyebrows for a second before she realized who he was talking about. Alicia laughed, shaking her head. "Apparently you know something I don't."

He shrugged. "I see the way he looks at you." Daryl cracked a grin. "I mean... I'd look at you that way too if I didn't already have you."

She just rolled her eyes. "Well the last time I checked, Aaron is gay."

Daryl looked at her for a minute before laughing. "Well... I guess that makes him safe then."

"Safe?" Alicia laughed. She laid her head against his shoulder. "Deanna invited me to a party... but I'd much rather go to my boyfriend's house."

Daryl scoffed, shaking his head. "Whatever you say there cowgirl."

A/N: Ok this is important!!! This is the end of this book!! However... this isn't the end of their story! There will be another book called Shadows that will begin in Season 6! I know it's a time skip but I needed a break from season 5 because... it's really not interesting to me. Anyway, I hope to see you all there!!
