Chapter 1

Freirain is my name but my family and friends called me Frei for short. I'm now 17 years old, I live here in Italy. I have a sister and she's 4 years older than me, therefore she's 21 years old.

Actually, we just met today.

Mula ng ipinanganak ako ngayon ko lang siya nakita, sa Pilipinas kasi ito nag-aaral kasama ang lolo't lola namin. Hindi rin siya pinapapunta dito nina Mommy at Daddy kahit magbakasyon lang man. Si Daddy lang din ang nakakausap nito sa social media at video call.

Umuwi lang siya dito dahil sa pagkamatay ng mga magulang namin, they were killed in a car accident.

Both of our parents are dead.

"Finally, I've met my one and only sister." my sister hugged me so tight that I almost lost my breath. "I miss you, Rain, eventhough we just met today, there's no day that I wasn't thinking about you."

As I hugged her back I felt electricity tingling all over my body that made me confused. "I-I miss you, too? I guess?" I said, not sure.

Don't get me wrong but I grew up thinking that my only sister hated me because my parents send her away because of me.

We can't even do a video call or have each others social media account. That's how strict they are to us.

But I know the reason though, I just found it out recently. She's not really my full sister, she's my half sister, our dad cheated on my Mom with another girl and that is my sister's mother who died giving birth to her.

I don't even know if it's really cheating when my sister is literally 4 years older than me.

Mom made a deal to my dad to send her away and she's not allowed to talk to me or even come near me. And since my dad didn't want to stress my mother he sent away my sister to his grandparents in Philippines.

Dad is a half-filipino, hence why I speak tagalog.

Nang kumalas na ng yakap sa akin ang kapatid ko ay masuyo ako nitong tinitigan na wari ba'y minimemorya nito ang buong kabuan ko kaya napaiwas ako sa kanya ng tingin.

Hindi ko maikakailang napakaganda niya, sobrang ganda niya. Lalo na ang mga mata nito na para akong lulunurin kapag tinititigan ko ito.

Nang mapansin ng kapatid ko ang reaksyon ng aking mukha ay dahan-dahan kumunot ang noo nito, bago pa siya makapag-salita muli ay tumakbo na ako palayo sa kanya, not minding her calling my name multiple times.

I ran as fast as I could inside the restroom and locked it before zipping down my trouser.

"Why the fuck are you awake?!" I snapped at my little FreiFrei seeing her standing so hard and proud.

If you're wondering, I'm intersex, I was born girl with a male reproductive organ. Sole reason why I always get bullied before but those bullies didn't even stand a chance on me.

But ever since then, I decided to hide it from everyone so I can focus on my study without getting bullied again.
