Lucy was under cover. She has never missed a check in. She checks in twice a day. Once at noon and once at midnight.She has to be undercover for another week and no one has made contact. She is scared that no one will and her mission was pointless.
It was 10:00pm one night and the group (the Serpents) came to Lucy's room and took her back to their headquarters. They did not allow her to take her phone. She was scared to miss the check in with Harper because she does not want her to be worried. All she could think about is if her cover could be blown.
Tim and the rest were at the station waiting for Lucy to call. It was unusual for her to miss a call and they were getting worried. He thought that maybe she fell asleep. All these excuses were going through his head
The Serpents kept her for till 2:00 am and finally let her go. When she got back to her room, she grabbed the phone and called Nyla.
"Lucy, are you okay?" Nyla asked which caught everyone's attention.
"Hey. They made contact. I just got back. That is why I did not call. They took me to their headquarters at 10," Lucy said, pretty shaken from the night's events.
"I am glad you are okay. Can you give us any details that you remember?" she asked.
"I could not tell exactly where we were but it was definitely out of city limits. It smells heavily of alcohol but none of the guys smelled like it. I have a feeling they are going to continue to make contact so I will keep you updated with the events that I hear but I have to go," she said right before she hung up.
Nyla got off the phone and saw everyone was relieved that she was okay. They all went home to rest for the next day's work. When they came back, there was this awful feeling that something was going to happen that day. They start their morning waiting for Lucy to call for an update. It was 10:50 when Lucy called.
"Lucy, what is wrong? It is not time to check in," Nyla said loudly to get everyone's attention.
"HELP! HELP ME!" Lucy yelled after hiding her phone under the pillow. In the background you can hear the men yelling at her and taking her.
Everyone jumped in their shop and raced over to the hotel that Lucy was stationed at. There was no sign of where they went. They went to the front desk to see if there were any cameras and if so if they could watch it to see if it caught anything. They brought the footage back to the station and watched it. They were able to get a license plate and track where it was going from street cameras. Everyone geared up and went to the location of the car.
Lucy was being punched and kicked because they found out that she was a cop. One of the guys was arrested a few months ago and it happened to be that Lucy was the one to do it.
"Give me one good reason why I should not kill you right now?" the Hammer asked.
"Look. I know what this looks like. I am trying to help you guys. I can get information on your enemies and tell you their plans before they can start it. I am giving you the advantage that the others do not have. Let me help you take over," Lucy said, trying to keep her cover.
"I did not think about that. We can take over from the inside out without being targeted," Hammer said.
Just as Hammer was letting Lucy go, the police came and arrested them all without causing more injuries. Tim ran over to Lucy and gave her a hug. Lucy went and got checked out. She was sent home with a few bruises and the thought of never going undercover again.
