Background: Lucy is 5 months pregnant
Tim's alarm went off at 5:30. He tried turning it off before it wakes up Lucy but she was already waking up.
"Good morning Beautiful. How are the kiddos?" Tim asked.
"Good morning. They are very active," Lucy said.
They got ready to go to work. When they arrived to the station, they went to the locker rooms and got changed.
"Hey momma. How are you today?" Angela asked.
"Good. I can not wait to see these three," she said.
They walked into roll call and Grey gave them their assignments. Nolan and Celina, Angela and Aaron, Nyla, and then Tim and Lucy.
"What do you think the genders are going to be?" Lucy asked.
"I think there is 1 girl and 2 boys. What do you think?" Tim replied.
Before Lucy could answer, dispatch called out an armed robbery. Tim and Lucy respond to the call. When they got there, the suspect was out side.
"LAPD. Put the gun down!" Tim yelled.
"No!" the suspect yelled.
"Put it down now or I am going to have to shoot!" Lucy yelled.
The suspect started to shoot towards them. One bullet nearly hit Lucy. Unfortunately, Tim got shot in the back when he turned to check on Lucy. Lucy saw and shot the shooter and arrested.
"Code 4. Officer down. I repeat, Officer down. I need to RAs to my location," Lucy said in her radio.
The RAs got to the scene and put the suspect in one and Tim and Lucy in the other. They rushed them to the hospital. When they arrived. they rushed Tim into the trauma room and then into surgery.
"Ma'am. I would like to get you checked out since you are pregnant," one nurse said.
'Okay," she replied.
They hooked Lucy up to the monitors. There was nothing wrong with her but they wanted to monitor the stress levels of the babies through this time. Lucy also decided to call Angela.
"Hey Ann. Can you come to Shaw Memorial. Tim was shot in the back and I need you here with me," she said.
"I will be right there," she replied.
After she called Angela, she called Nyla, Grey, and Nolan to let them know what was going on. They all arrived there and went straight to Lucy. They waited there with her till the doctor came in.
"Hi Mrs. Bradford. Tim is going to be okay. The bullet missed his spinal cord. He is going to make a full recovery. He is not allowed to return to work for three weeks on desk duty. Then another 3 weeks till he is allowed on the streets." He stated and walked out the room.
Lucy was relieved. After being on the monitors for an hour, the babies were not in any stress. When she got off, she went straight to Tim's room and held his hand till he woke up.
"You scared me babe. I thought I had to raise them all by myself."
"I will do everything in my power to never do that to you."
She smiled and leaned over and gave him a kiss.
"You never answered my question," Tim said.
"What question?"
"What do you think the genders are?"
"I think they are 1 boy and 2 girls."
Tim was released from the hospital 2 days later. A few months went by and Lucy had the triplets. They had 2 boys and 1 girl. Ethan Scott Bradford, Greyson Cade Bradford, and Cora Josephine Bradford.
