"PLEASE DON'T BE IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE ELSE."

"MRS. BROWN TOLD ME THAT she's not gonna be at school tomorrow but since exams are soon I think we should still tutor." Peter explained. He felt quite awkward about the fact that Andie had a crush on him, it was like everything that made them friends and flown out of the window. Peter no longer knew how to act around her.

Andie nodded, "Yeah, sure. But do you think we could just study instead?" she asked.

"I mean, yeah but don't you think that tutoring will help more?"

Andie smirked, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear. "Actually I got an eighty—eight on the test we did last week." she proudly said, matter-of-factly.

Peter gasped, then grabbed her and spun her around. She squealed, then giggled. He lifted her off the ground like it was nothing, like she was a feather. "Holy crap, Andie! That's awesome!" he exclaimed.

With a lingering smile, Andie brushed it off, "I couldn't have done it without you. Seriously, if I hadn't met you I probably would still be in bed crying over Marc Thompson. I really appreciate you, you know that?" she sadly smiled. She had been through so much this year — this semester even. Peter was like a saving grace, he saved her in every way a person can be saved.

Peter scoffed, "Don't be stupid, Andie. It was all you." he softly smiled. "Okay, so we can study tonight. Where?"

Andie inhaled deeply, "Uh, I'm sure my house will be fine. I'll text my mom." she nodded, smiled then walked to her second period class.

Her second period class was boring, she had no friends in the class ever since she dropped Noor and Chey. Andie could say a lot about her ex — best friends, that they sucked, that they betrayed her, but she couldn't deny the fact that they were the reason she was known around the school. Noor and Chey knew everyone, and everyone knew them, Andie was always just the girl they dragged around with them.

Well, there was one person Andie talked to in her second period class. This boy named Brad. They didn't often speak to each other, they were forced to be in a group — project together weeks ago. Turns out Brad is really smart, not as smart as Peter but getting there, Brad is funny, and kind. Andie and Brad sat beside each other in their second period english class, Andie felt nothing towards Brad, they were friends and Andie was content with that. Brad on the other hand wasn't so sure. "Hi Brad!" Andie smiled as she walked into the room.

"Andie! Hi! How you doing, girl?" Brad nodded at her, Andie shrugged. "What are you listening to? Gimme an airpod." Andie, listening to Taylor Swift, gave the boy sitting beside her an airpod. "Damn, these are some poetic ass words." Brad complimented, he was right. The Lakes by Taylor Swift was poetic.

Andie smirked. Her eyes lit up, she loved when people complimented her music taste. "Really! I thought you would've been one of those guys who were like 'Grr, Taylor Swift, I hate her because she's a woman'."

Brad shrugged. "Meh. I don't love her, there's just something about her. And I'm a Kanye fan." Andie sighed. She had saw a theory on TikTok and Twitter that if a guy says that they don't like Taylor Swift because there's something about her, it can mean that they simply don't like her because she is a woman.

"What's it about her?" she asked, praying to the gods above that Brad wasn't going to say something misogynistic.

Brad thought for a moment, "I don't know." he brushed it off. The teacher started blabbing on about whatever he was talking about, and then in the last twenty minutes of class he started talking about the assignment.

Class ended and Andie went to go find Peter, as they had third period together. Andie felt slightly guilty with Brad following her around like a lost puppy, he kept trying to make conversation with her but honestly she wasn't interested. She was too busy with looking for Peters familiar curly brunette hair.

"Petey!" Andie widely grinned, she put her arm around Peter's shoulder, which dragged him down due to their height difference, Peter being 5'7 whereas Andie was 5'2 ( and a half, she always mentions the half. ) "I gotta go to the bathroom. Stay here, okay?" she pushed both Brad and Peter into lockers across the girls bathroom. "Talk to each other fatties." she smirked and walked away, leaving Peter and Brad in a very, very uncomfortable and awkward situation.

Peter and Brad stood there at the locker waiting for Andie. "Did you watch the game last night?" Brad asked.

Peter shook his head. "No." he awkwardly responded.

"So, Andie's pretty great, right?" Brad chuckled, Peter nodded. It was the one thing both of the boys could agree on. "She's really hot." anger filled Peters blood. She was more than just her unusually good looks, she was more than her physical appearance, Andie was . . . well, perfect. She was smart, funny, kind, passionate, she could light up a skyscraper with her smile.

Brad continued, "Yeah, I think I'm gonna ask her out." very suddenly Peter's boiling with anger blood turned icy cold with a feeling of violent dread. He finally realized, and it might've been too late. Peter wanted to punch Brad Davis, for no real reason. Peter was just angry, he was angry that Brad had reduced Andie to her appearance and nothing else, he was angry that he knew that Andie had liked him but never acted on it and now he could've been too late, that now someone else might be doing what he hadn't, that he hadn't jumped at the chance when he had it.

But Andie was worth the fight. Any fight. He would fight to the death for her, she was worth it.
