Grace's POV

"Here we are." Stefano announced as he pulled the car to a stop.

The girls quickly removed their seat belts and got out of the car as I opened the door and stood up. The view was amazing! The evening sky was painted in light pink, orange and blue, with clouds having orange tints on their bottoms as the sun was about to set. I looked in the distance and saw that there were speakers setup and there was a huge crowd dancing near the DJ. In the corner was 5 huge freezers with 2 guys helping with drinks. Something about this evening felt different. I had a weirdly fuzzy feeling that I couldn't seem to shake off since we left my house.

"You coming?" Stefano called.

I nodded and shut the door and followed behind him.

Once we reached the crowd, 3 girls came and started talking to Stefano in Italian. I slowly removed myself from them since I am not fluent in Italian, I can only understand the language to an extent, thanks to my summers here-my dad on the other hand is fluent.

I walked over to the freezers and saw that there was a bottle of Jamaican Passion Breezer and I grabbed it, the guy in charge of the drink came to me and helped me open the cap. I smiled a thank you and turned to the crowd and did a scan. There wasn't many people I know, maybe they will all come after sometime so I decided to head to the shoreline and sit there a while and enjoy some peace and quiet.

I walked a bit away from the crowd and sat down with my legs crossed and stared at the ocean and took out a deep breath. One of the things I love about this place is the ocean, it is so beautiful. The sound of the waves crashing was just so comforting to me. I looked into the distance and just sat there looking at the sunset and taking sips at my drink. I missed this.

Just as I was enjoying my peace I heard someone nearby me.

"Heeyy Graccce!" a drunk Jeremey approached me.

"Hey Jere." I said with a small smile.

"I didn't know you were back." He said as he stood a couple feet away from me.

"I just arrived today."

"Ohhh niceeee, I missed you." he said as he gave me a quick hug and sat down beside me.  Jeremey is only nice to me when he is drunk.

"Sure you did. Where is Elio?"

"Ah that boy, he should be somewhere around the crowd dancing over there maybe." Elio is Jeremey's best friend, I have known him since my first summer here. He was one of the very first people to make me feel welcomed here.

Jeremey's phone rang and he pulled it out of his pocket and answered it, "Heyyy dude."

"I'm with Grace." He said.

"How can you not know Grace?" So he is not talking to Elio.

"Whatever, it is easy to spot us, we are the ones sitting by the beach away from the crowd."

"Okay bye." he ended the call.

"That was my cousin." he said as he put his phone back into his pocket.

Ah figures, "Okay." I said. But why was he speaking in English to him?

"Ciao Jere!" one of the guys from the crowd called him.

"Heyy!" he waved at them. "Grace I gotta go I will catch you later." he said before got up and he jogged towards them.

Nice finally some peace and quiet! Just then Sunset by The Midnights started playing, yay! I took a few more sips from my drink as I enjoyed my view with the music.
