I assumed..

Cairo woke up the following day, her head was hurting, but it wasn't too bad, nothing some aspirin wouldn't fix up

She groaned quietly and got out of bed, she went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth, brushed her hair, and then took a shower

After she got ready, Cairo went downstairs where Winnie had already made her some coffee, and her pack of cigarettes was on the table with a lighter and an ashtray

"Morning sunshine" Winnie said with a smile on her face, Cairo rolled her eyes but smiled a bit and nodded, then lit up a cigarette

"I'm gonna go and talk to Cc today" Cairo spoke as she blew out the smoke, Winnie nodded and took a bite of her sandwich

"About what, You're asking her to be your girlfriend?" Cairo took a deep breath then drank some coffee "Something like that" Winnie smirked and walked next to Cairo

"I'm proud of you" Winnie said and hugged her from the side, Cairo nodded and felt her pressing a kiss on her cheek

"Ugh, you got salvia over my face" Winnie laughed and licked Cairo's face, which made Cairo push her away but laugh a bit too

"Dumbass" Winnie rolled her eyes and sat down to eat her breakfast, Cairo finished her coffee and cigarette then stood up

but just as she did, her phone rang "Oh my god" She groaned and hit the red button on her phone, not caring about it

"Him again?" Cairo nodded

"Yeah, I'm not talking to him, not after what happened" Winnie nodded in understatement, then watched as the girl walked to the door and began putting her shoes on

"I'll be back, I don't know when Might spend the night at Cc's" Winnie smiled and nodded "Alrighty, be safe, if something is wrong, call me"

Cairo nodded and walked out of the house, the sun wasn't out, it was very cloudy, and it looked like it's gonna rain any second

the wind was blowing, wasn't too bad, but it was chilly 'cause of it

She decided to text Cc that she's coming over

Cairo: I'm coming over, hope I don't bother you

she almost immediately got a response, which made her smile

Cc: What? No, you're not bothering

Cairo: alright, be there soon

Cc was a bit confused, why would Cairo think she would bother her? doesn't make sense

or maybe she just lost interest? Maybe Cc is boring? shit.

Cc's mind was racing with thoughts, she bought some flowers for Cairo and some chocolate too, she didn't what she did wrong but she wanted to make up for it

"Cairo is coming over" Cc said to her mom, who nodded with a smile on her face

"Okay, hope she likes cookies, because I just put them in the oven" Cc smiled, she loved the way her mom baked, especially these cookies, snickerdoodles

"I think she does, I'm not sure, I'll ask, she should be here soon" Jess nodded again still smiling at her daughter

"So, you got pretty close to this scary girl" Cc raised an eyebrow, then remembered that she first described Cairo as scary

"Well yeah, she's not that scary after all, just has a fucked up past" Jess took a deep breath then sighed

"But yes, we got close, She's nice, I like her" Jess raised an eyebrow and dried her hands up with a towel
