A week has passed since Cairo asked Cc to be her girlfriend, and they were getting along pretty well

Today was Thursday, Cairo hadn't thought about her parents ever since they kicked her out

She and Winnie were sitting outside of school on the benches, it was Lunch break currently

"So, How are things with Miss Blondie?" Cairo smiled a bit at the question, then looked at her best friend, who was smirking at her after she saw Cairo's smile

"Good, I didn't think that it would be this easy to be in a normal relationship, She is a true sweetheart, I guess I'm a bit scared of breaking her heart"

Winnie's smirk turned into a soft smile and rubbed Cairo's back softly with her right hand

"Even if that happens, she showed you what a good and healthy relationship should be like" Cairo took a deep breath and nodded

"True" She said and laid her head on Winnie's shoulder, the taller one hugged her with her right hand, which was previously on her back

"Winnie I don't want to screw this up with her" The taller brunette nodded and smiled

"A relationship is built on honesty, trust, open communication

and respect, to help each other involve in many ways, to build something together"

Cairo took another deep breath through her nose and nodded

"Honesty? I lied to her the second we got together 'Cairo pulled away to look at Winnie' He called and I said it's nobody important, a great way of starting a relationship"

Winnie bit the inside of her cheek, then pursed her lips

"Well, I'm sure that when you tell her that story, She'll understand why you didn't want to talk about him" Cairo just rubbed her face with both hands

"I know, but still why does it feel awful?" She asked and felt some tears forming in her eyes "What feels awful?" A voice behind them made both girls look

Cc stood there with a soft smile on her face, Harper was next to her

Cc saw that Cairo's eyes were filled with tears which worried her and raised an eyebrow, then sat next to her girlfriend

"You okay?" Cairo nodded and forced a smile onto her face

"Yes, don't worry, Winnie and I were just having an emotional moment together" Harper glanced at Cc and shooked her head, Knowing that the girl was lying

Cc just bit her lip and nodded at her friend, then took Cairo's hand and held it softly, then caressed her palm

Winnie stood up which confused Cairo, the taller brunette just took Harper's hand and pulled her away from them, giving the two women some privacy

the bell rang and students began to scatter around, going to their classes

Cairo couldn't stand to look at Cc because she knew that if she looked at her, then she'd bawl her eyes out

Cairo didn't know why she was so emotional right now

"Hey" Cc's voice was quiet and soft, she tapped Cairo's hand with her index finger

But Cairo didn't look at her, She felt her phone buzz and took it out to look at it
