She's gonna be okay, right?

the night was long, and neither of them felt like time was passing, they sat there impatiently, and no one came out for hours, long hours that felt like forever

Cairo was getting restless, she was worried and knew nothing about her lovers situation

She was pacing around in the waiting room, hoping someone would come out and update them on Cc's situation

Jess's leg was bouncing up and down, they were all worried about Cc...

"I can't take this! It's been hours!" Cairo said in an annoyed tone, she rubbed her face with both hands and grunted loudly

Winnie sighed knowing she was right, but they can't do anything but wait and hope

"I know, but we can't do anything, Cairo, just sit down and try calming down, Cc's in good hands now"

Winnie tried to reassure her that her girlfriend would be fine, but Cairo barely believed her at all

Cairo sighed and let her hands fall next to her body, before she could even respond, the door finally opened and the doctor came out

"Mr and Mrs. Walker?" They all walked over to the doctor and looked at him curiously, worriedly

"Cc's surgery went okay, the next 24 hours will be critical, but currently she's in her room, the surgery was a success, and she's asleep right now, you can go see her"

They all felt relieved to hear this

"Good, let me see her!" Cairo said a bit loudly, she was impatient and worried

"Sorry ma'am, only close family can see her"

Cairo raised an eyebrow and thought for a second

"I'm her...sister! Yeah sister, so let me in" Cairo said to him, the man nodded and a nurse led them to Cc's room, the doctor told them everything

Cairo held Cc's hand, gently caressing the top of her hand with her thumb

"If you have questions, ask the nurse or when you see us" He said before walking out of the room, closing the door behind himself, leaving them alone with Cc

"At least she's gonna be okay" Bill said looking at Cc from the end of the bed, Cairo stood beside her, holding her hand, Winnie stood a bit further away, her hands crossed in front of her chest

Jess was on the other side of the bed, gently holding Cc's forearm...

"Yes, she'll be okay, she'll be completely fine, she can't be not okay" Cairo said tears forming in her eyes as she looked at her lover's face

she brushed some hair out of Cc's face, putting it behind her ear...

The others looked at Cairo, knowing she wanted Cc to be okay desperately

"You'll be okay..." She whispered to her before pressing a kiss on her forehead

Cc only remembers waking up the next morning, she looked around the room, She saw Cairo in the chair next to her sleeping peacefully

Cc sighed in relief...

She closed her eyes, remembering what happened...

she groaned quietly, she felt the bandage on her stomach, she pulled the gown up a bit and saw a big patch there

She sighed

"No more bikini.." She mumbled before pulling her gown back down, her little mumble woke Cairo up

She looked and saw Cc was up, she immediately stood up and stood beside her bed

"You're awake.. god.. yes"

She said in a relieved tone, she let out a big sigh before closing her eyes for a second or so

Cc just looked at her girlfriend and smiled at her

"Hi" Cc said quietly, Cairo had never been more relieved to hear her voice...

"Hi" She replied with a small smile on her face, she put some hair behind Cc's ear, then just stared at her face for a long amount of time

she was relieved that Cc was alive and awake...

"I know dumb question, but how are you?" Cairo asked making eye contact with her lover

"Well, considering the consequences, I am glad to see you" Cc said quietly, Cairo smiled a bit

"I am glad too, I was so worried, baby" Cc smiled and took Cairo's hand then kissed the top of it, hoping to relieve some stress and worry she had built up in her body

Cairo felt her heart flutter at the small gesture, it wasn't much, but it definitely helped her calm down a bit, she held Cc's hand firmly but gently not wanting to hurt her

"I am alive, I am here, don't worry" Cairo just nodded and wiped a tear away with her free hand

"Everyone was worried, but Mr. Lamon is dead, he shot himself" Cc blinked a couple of times at the random info dump

"I.. what?" Cc asked visibly confused, Cairo nodded

"Before the police could arrest him, he shot himself in the head" Cc just nodded processing the information

"Well.. at least he won't bother us.. not anymore, I'm relieved but also kinda.. creeped out by this whole ass situation, this isn't how I expected our weekend to go" Cc said trying to lighten the mood

Cairo chuckled a bit "Me neither.. this is the last thing I expected to happen" she said quietly

Cc smiled and squished Cairo's hand in a comforting gesture, Cairo caressed the top of Cc's hand with her thumb

She was very relieved that Cc was awake, and sort of okay..

Now they can be happy..

Live their lives together in a way they want to, a dream come true..
