Chapter 1

I woke up in pain, pain rushing through every part of my body. I tried to move my hands to clutch my stomach, but as I tugged, I could feel something hard trapping my wrists together. I tried to use my bending, but all that came were small sparks from my fingertips, most likely due to the exhaustion.

"She's awake!" An annoyingly high voice boomed in my ear. I opened my eyes to see a guy holding a boomerang crouching in front of me, his arms resting on his knees. To his right was a boy with an arrow on his head, and a lemur on his shoulder.

Despite the sharp pain in my chest, I managed to get out some words. "Who are you?" I said quietly, the boy with the Arrow spoke. "I'm Aang. Why are you hurt and why were you outside the cave?"

"Is that really your business?" I said, some of the pain slowly leaving my body.

"Answer the question." The kid with the boomerang replied. I glared at him in return.

"I'm Y/n. I was attacked by...someone. And collapsed out there after I escaped I guess." A girl walked over, she resembled the boy, but had long hair and little loops in the front. Siblings?

The girl pushed the two boys aside and sat in front of me with a bowl of water.

'What am I a dog now?'

"Who attacked you?" She asked. I sighed and looked at my lap. "Could I maybe get out of- what is this? Handcuffs made of rock?"

"Tell us who you are exactly and what happened, then we'll talk about it." I rolled my eyes and moved to sit crisscross. "I told you, I'm Y/n." "That's not enough."

"Listen, I get it. But I don't know you people. Just get these things off of me and I'll be on my way." I was starting to get annoyed with these people. Just then, my stomach growled. I cringed and looked away.

"Looks like someone's hungry. We have food, but you'll have to tell us the answers to our questions." The boomerang kid said. I pouted. I didn't want to tell these kids who I was, but my stomach said otherwise.

"Fine." "Speak up then."

"I'm Y/n, as you know. I'm the youngest daughter of Fire Lord Ozai, I ran into my older sister, and she kicked my ass. Then I escaped and passed out outside your little cave."

They all collectively backed away, just as I knew they would. I mean I would too, I'm Fire Nation after all.

"Youngest daughter of who?" The boomerang kid said.

I groaned and rolled my eyes. "You heard me ponytail. I said Fire lord Ozai, jeez. It's not like I asked to be his kid."

The girl with hair loopies sighed. "Well i guess she told us, I'll get her something to eat." She then walked away.

"Katara!! She just said she's fire nation! You're seriously gonna help her?!"

'Katara. huh.'

The girl, who I now knew as Katara, ignored him. The boy with the arrow spoke up, "Sokka, calm down. We'll have her talk more after she eats." Sokka pouted and slumped against the wall opposite of me.

Katara returned infront of me and put a small loaf of bread next to the bowl of water. I looked at the bread and then back up at her, "Can I get these off now?"

"Oh yeah. Sorry." She turned her head further into the cave and began, "Hey Toph! Come get these handcuffs off of Y/n!"

'Great. There's more of them.'

I heard a groan and suddenly a big rock in the corner opened, and out came a girl with black hair, she's pretty.

'Wait did she just come out of a rock? An earthbender?'
