( Author's POV.)
Lisa kept moving to her bed trying to sleep but because her stomach was growling which meant she was hungry, she could not sleep she slowly opened her eyes and looked at the clock that was on her nightstand.
"Are you serious?? It's freaking 3 am!! Why now?" Lalisa asked herself.
She slowly stood up and went to the kitchen.
"What should I eat tho??" She asked herself, staring into the abyss of her pantry. "How about some cereal... without the milk?" her inner voice suggested with a chuckle.
"How about having some ramen?" She came up with the idea of eating ramen. She then marched towards the ramen cabinet like a boss, opening it with a dramatic flair. "Let's slurp our way to happiness!"
"Ramen, oh Ramen! Where are you?" she cried out in a dramatic tone, scanning every nook and cranny of the kitchen. Alas, the elusive noodles were nowhere to be found, leaving her in a state of noodle-less despair.
"Oh no! I'm out of my favorite snack again! What kind of a tragedy is this? Oh wait, I think I ate them all while binge-watching Netflix. Well, it's time to buy more before I go into full panic mode. No, wait a minute... I should probably buy ten packs just to be safe. Who knows how long this quarantine will last!" She muttered to herself, realizing the true extent of her snacking habits.
Lisa realized that the weather outside was colder than her ex's heart, so she quickly threw on a hoodie and jeans to keep herself warm. She grabbed the house key from her nightstand and bolted out of her room like a cheetah chasing its prey!
"Will you shut up already?!" she barked at her stomach, irritated by the incessant growling. "You're embarrassing me in public!" she added, feeling the hunger pangs intensify.
Lisa rushed into the convenience store, hoping to quickly grab a lot of ramen and get out.
The cashier girl smiled and bowed slightly, welcoming Lisa.
Lalisa's stomach was growling louder than a pack of hungry wolves, so she flashed a smile and made a quick bow to the cashier like a ninja on a mission to grab her much-needed snack.
She started searching for her ramen.
"Ya...only one? Never mind," she muttered under her breath, trying to hide her disappointment. Lisa was ready to grab the last pack of ramen when suddenly someone else got there first, making her eyes widen in disbelief.
Lisa exclaimed, "Wha-Yah! That's mine!" and grabbed the guy by his arm like a ninja. The poor guy was so surprised that he almost did a backflip. I guess he didn't expect to mess with a fierce warrior like Lisa.
"Ahh...let me go!" The guy said feeling the tight grip of Lisa's hand on his arm.
"The ramen is mine, I saw it first," Lalisa said, shooting a withering glare at the other person.
"Hey, hey, hey! Who do you think you are? I got to it first, so it's mine. It's called the 'finders keepers' rule, my friend. Now, let go before I unleash my ninja moves on you!" The guy said, with a playful smirk on his face.
"Hand it over, before I get sassy!" said Lalisa.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Easy there, girl. This ramen is mine, all mine! I won't surrender it," the guy exclaimed, clutching the ramen tightly, holding it up in the air, and giving her a playful glare.
Lisa was on a covert mission to acquire some delicious ramen, but her target was too tall! She tried tiptoeing, stretching, and even jumping, but it was no use. Finally, in a fit of hunger-induced desperation, she resorted to pinching the guy on his waist. Ouch! The guy's hands went down, and Lisa triumphantly grabbed the ramen.
