One day before the wedding
My alarm went off super early in the morning, startling me awake. I opened my eyes and looked at the time, then looked out of my window and saw it was still dark. Solei was still fast asleep, so I carefully got out of bed and walked over to my bathroom. I brushed my teeth, put my hair in a ponytail, and changed into something to work out for a while.
Before leaving my room, I decided to grab my swimsuit to swim for a bit in the indoor pool after my gym session. I also grabbed my phone and headphones and walked out of my room. I walked down to the basement, put my stuff to the side, put my headphones on, picked my playlist, and started working out. Since the wedding was tomorrow, I decided to do more cardio. After my workout, I walked over to the bathroom in the gym and got changed into my swimsuit, then walked over to the pool and slowly walked in. I did some laps, then just floated around for a while. After a while, I exited the pool, dried off, got my things, and returned to my room. I took a long shower, got out, did my after-shower routine, dressed, did my hair and makeup, and walked downstairs to meet the others for breakfast.
After a light breakfast, I said bye to the others, walked out of the villa, into my car, and drove to the wedding venue. Charles had promised to meet me there but when I pulled up to the venue his car wasn't there. I parked my car, walked inside, and spent an hour talking to the event planner to ensure everything was going well for tomorrow and tonight's rehearsal dinner. I walked over to my car after I had spent most of my morning at the venue, and as I drove, I called Charles. He didn't pick up the first time I called him, so I called him a second, and he still didn't respond, so I called Pierre to see if he had heard from him. He picked up immediately.
Y/n- Hey, Pierre, have you talked to Charles today?
Pierre- Umm, yeah, he called me a couple of minutes ago; he sounded panicked. Why?
Y/n- He was supposed to meet me at the venue but didn't show up. Did he tell you anything that I should be concerned about?
Pierre- Umm, I don't know. He told me to go to his house, which I was about to leave.
Y/n- Don't let me go and see what's up; I don't need him hiding things from me; we are getting married tomorrow; I don't need this.
Pierre- OK, let me know what he tells you.
Y/n- Yeah, ok, bye.
I hung up the phone and drove over to Charles's house. I was a bit worried but didn't know what to expect. I parked my car in the driveway, got out of the car, went up to the front door, and knocked on the door. When he opened the door, he looked pale and had dark circles under his eyes. When he saw me, he looked surprised; he let me in and shut the door behind me. We walked over to the living room, and he sat on the sofa with his head in his hands. I looked at him now, very worried.
Y/n- I am sorry I showed up unannounced. You told me you would be able to meet me at the venue, what's wrong?
Charles- Sorry, I just got the news last night and needed time to wrap my head around it.
Y/n- Charles, what happened? Please tell me.
Charles- When I told you I was out with a girl a few weeks ago before I came over? Well, she called me balling her eyes out last night and...
Y/n- Charles, please don't tell me what I think.
Charles- She's pregnant.
Y/n- Omg, Charles, are you serious? Didn't you think of using protection?
Charles- I did, it must have ripped or something, I don't know.
Y/n- Are you sure that it's yours? She might have done it on purpose or something.
Charles- I don't know, I don't know; I will tell her to get a test to see if it is mine, but I want to not think about this. I am sorry.
Y/n- Listen, I didn't need this a day away from a wedding that I didn't even want or a marriage even, but I am doing this for my family, so you need to sort your shit out, I will help if you want me to, but this is your problem.
Charles- You think I wanted this? I didn't want to get a girl pregnant; I didn't want to get married, especially not to you; my father always told me before he died that he wanted me to marry you one day, so I am living up to his dream, that it.
Y/n- You know what, I came here to check on you, and I did, so I am going to leave because this is too much. I'll see you tomorrow; if you don't show up, that's up to you.
I walked toward the door, walked to my car, got in, and started driving. I was so angry and furious my vision started going blurry, and the next thing I knew, my car was flipping.
