A few days later

It's been a few days since we returned from Bahrain, and Charles has been working super hard all week. Today was finally his first chill day of the week, and we had many things planned. He was still asleep, so I decided to start getting ready before him to give him some time to sleep a little bit more. Before getting ready for the super-planned day, I went downstairs, fed Solei, and made myself a cup of water with some pregnancy supplements. After that, I let Solei run around and do her business. Then, I cleaned up behind her and let her inside. I walked upstairs to my closet and picked out an outfit for the day. After that, I walked towards our ensuite and started taking a shower. After showering, I did my after-shower routine: I walked out of the bathroom, returned to my wardrobe, sat down at my vanity, did my hair and makeup, dressed, and walked back into our room.

As I returned to the bedroom, I saw Charles walk out of the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around him. I immediately turned around and faced the wall to give him some privacy.

Y/n- Sorry, I didn't know you were awake.

Charles- Let me put on some clothes, and we can talk.

Y/n- Yeah, ok. I will go downstairs and make some breakfast for us.

Charles- Yeah, ok, I will be down in a minute.

I quickly walked out the door and went downstairs, making us some egg and bacon bagels. Soon, Charles walked downstairs and sat on the bar stool before me. I passed him his plate and a cup of coffee, then sat beside him, and we ate breakfast quietly. Charles decided to clean up, so I helped him out a bit while he was cleaning up.

Charles- You are very blue today. Are you hoping that we have a boy?

Y/N—No. I like the color blue, and I will be happy with whatever gender our baby is.

Charles—Yeah, so will I. How are you feeling about today? We had our first ultrasound, and then after that, we had lunch with Katia. Are you still okay with lunch with Katia?

Y/N—Yes, I am still okay with lunch with Katia, and I am honestly super excited about the ultrasound now. If you are ready, we should start heading to our appointment.

Charles- Yup, I am ready; let me go and grab a few things, and then we can head out.

A few minutes later, Charles returned downstairs; we walked into the garage, got into his car, and drove to the ob-gyn. We arrived, exited the car, and walked into the clinic. I checked in then we sat down until they called my name. We walked into another room, and the doctor told me to lie down on the bed and roll down my pants so that my belly would show. She then put a tissue around my pants and talked to me about some things for a second before she put the gel on my stomach. It was cold, but then she rubbed it around, and it warmed up. After moving around, she found our little bean, and I immediately started getting emotional. We then heard the heartbeat beat, and I couldn't hold it in and just started tearing up. Charles put his hand in mine, and I looked at him. He also had tears in his eyes. After all that she cleaned up my belly, she then let me know a few things and we made another appointment for when I am 16 weeks which was in 8 weeks. She also told me that my due date was the 20th of October, but due dates don't usually mean that you would give birth on that date. It's just an estimate. After we finished the appointment, we walked out of the clinic and into the car.

Charles- Wow, that was something.

Y/n- Yeah, it was. Imagine I give birth on your birthday.

Charles- That would be crazy but possible.

Y/n- Now, let's go to lunch because I am starving.

He giggled, and we started driving to the restaurant we had booked a table for lunch. He parked his car, and we walked into the restaurant. Katia was already sitting at the table, so we walked up and sat beside her. It was a bit weird at first, but then we started talking about the baby and all the stuff we needed to do, and a conversation started flowing. We enjoyed lunch whilst we talked about the baby and the necessary things. After lunch, we said bye to her and agreed to meet soon so we could go over all the legal requirements of custody and all that. She said her due date would be on the 10th, so before me. After she left, we got into the car, and since I started getting tired, we decided to go home.

When we got home, I went upstairs, changed into something comfortable, and walked downstairs. I laid down on the sofa and cuddled up to Solei. Charles then sat down next to us and put on a movie, and whilst he started watching the movie, I started drifting off to sleep. As I was falling asleep, I felt Charles put his hands around me, so I moved closer to him, and I just felt more safe and comfortable in his hands. We had a very long day, and I just needed a nap.

That evening, we just spent the night chilling and talking about the babies and planned some stuff for the babies to make sure that we were prepared for anything we needed. At around 23.00 pm we decided to go upstairs into our room and just go to sleep since we were both tired. Before I went to sleep I gave charles a quick kiss on the cheek then turned to my side and drifted off to sleep.
