𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 return to school, a day that loomed over (Y/n) like a storm cloud on a sunny day. With each passing hour, the dread intensified, casting a shadow over every moment. The thought of facing the endless corridors, the daunting assignments, and the most crucial thought about seeing Sae again sent shivers down (Y/n)'s spine. As the clock ticked relentlessly towards morning, (Y/n) couldn't help but wish for time to stand still, yearning for just one more day of reprieve from the inevitable return to school.

Though Rin and Haru vowed to ease the (h/c) brown-haired girl's anxiety and stand by her side throughout the school day as much as possible, (Y/n) remained curious about their plan. Despite their reassurance, uncertainty lingered in her mind. She pondered their next move, feeling a mix of gratitude and apprehension as she awaited tomorrow's arrival.

The bell chimed, marking the commencement of the first period, English. With the dawn of a new semester, every student found their schedules reshuffled. (Y/n) let out a weary sigh as she made her way to the rear end of the classroom, arriving before the teacher, Miss Keiko.

As the teacher finally entered the room, she launched into her lesson, but (Y/n) found herself struggling to stay engaged. "Ah, Mr. Itoshi. You're late," the teacher remarked as (Y/n)'s heart sank at the mention of his name causing a pang of disappointment to ripple through the (h/c) haired girl's chest.

Sae offered a quiet apology as he settled into a seat a few rows ahead and to the right of her.

The teacher droned on about mundane topics, but English posed no challenge for (Y/n), leading her to occasionally tune out during class.

"Alright, everyone! For this assignment, I want you to write a poem where you can express your feelings or yourself. Make it emotional and heartfelt. It's due in two days, it contains a huge percent of your grade and you'll be presenting it to the class. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. Class dismissed," Miss Keiko announced.

(Y/n) mentally groaned at the mention of poems. She never felt confident with her poetry skills, and the thought of presenting in front of the entire class only added to her discomfort. She wished she could disappear into the floor.

(Y/n) couldn't fathom why Miss Keiko would assign such a daunting task on the very first day back to school. It felt like a cruel twist of fate, plunging them straight into the depths of academia without a moment to catch their breath. The idea of diving into poetry on day one felt overwhelming, especially for someone like (Y/n) who struggled with expressing herself through verse.

Despite the challenging task looming over her, the (h/c) haired girl reminded herself that she still had a whole two days to tackle it. Deciding to set aside her worries for now, she resolved to find Haru as she shared the second period class with her.

After the lunch bell rang, signaling the end of the brief respite from classes, the school corridors swarmed with students, each one navigating their way to their next destination. (Y/n) found herself swept along in the throng, her mind still lingering on the daunting assignment Miss Keiko had given them earlier. She couldn't shake off the feeling of unease, but with a deep breath, she pushed those thoughts aside, focusing instead on the present moment.

As she made her way to her next class, (Y/n) caught sight of Haru and Rin up ahead, engaged in animated conversation. Their easy camaraderie never failed to lift her spirits, and she quickened her pace to catch up with them.

"Hey, guys," she greeted them with a smile as she fell into step beside them.

"Hey, (Y/n)! How was your morning?" Haru asked, turning to her with a warm smile.

"Same old, same old," she replied with a shrug. "Miss Keiko gave us a pretty intimidating assignment though."

Rin raised an eyebrow. "What kind of assignment?"

"We have to write a poem and present it in front of the whole class," (Y/n) explained, feeling a knot forming in her stomach at the mere thought of it.

Rin whistled lowly. "That does sound daunting."

"Yeah, I'm not looking forward to it," she admitted, feeling a sense of relief at being able to share her concerns with her friends.

"Hey, don't worry about it too much," Haru reassured her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "We'll help you out if you need it."

"Thanks, Haru," (Y/n) said gratefully, feeling a surge of gratitude for her friends' support.

With their encouragement, (Y/n) found herself feeling a little lighter as they approached their next class. As they entered the room, she took her seat and prepared herself for the lesson ahead.

The remainder of the afternoon passed in a blur of lectures, note-taking, and group activities. Despite her initial apprehension, (Y/n) found herself gradually becoming more engrossed in the material, her worries about the upcoming assignment fading into the background.

By the time the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, (Y/n) felt a sense of accomplishment wash over her. She had made it through another day, and with the support of her friends, she felt confident that she could tackle whatever challenges lay ahead.

As she gathered her belongings and made her way out of the classroom, she couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for the days to come. With Haru and Rin by her side, she knew that no matter what obstacles she faced, she would always have a support system to rely on.

And surely, by some stroke of luck, (Y/n) hoped that nothing major would happen to disrupt the delicate balance of her life.
