"𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘁! That doesn't even look good on you, my fashion taste is better. Try this on." Haru exclaimed as she handed (Y/n) yet another dress for her to try on.
"Haru, you're scaring her," Akari replied, trying to stifle her laughter, worried that Haru might turn her frustration on her next.
"I'm so done with you both and your terrible fashion choices," Haru huffed as she marched away to look at other dresses, muttering curses under her breath.
(Y/n) made a mental note to herself: Never make Haru angry.
The (h/c) haired girl sighed and took the dress Haru handed her, walking back into the fitting room. She glanced at herself in the mirror, wondering if Haru's fashion sense really was better.
As she slipped into the new dress, she heard Akari giggling outside. "She's really something, isn't she?" Akari said.
"Tell me about it," (Y/n) replied, stepping out to show the new outfit. "What do you think?"
Akari tilted her head, considering. "Actually, that one looks pretty good on you."
(Y/n) smiled, feeling a bit more confident. "Thanks, Akari."
Haru returned with an armful of more dresses, her frustration visibly softened. "Alright, let's keep going. We've got to find the perfect one."
"What? I thought this was a good dress!" (Y/n) groaned. "Nope," Haru stated, popping the 'p'. "Doesn't complement you enough. And Akari, take this dress and try it on."
(Y/n) sighed but couldn't help but smile. "Okay, let's do this."
They spent the next hour trying on different outfits, Akari found her prom dress; however, the search was still on for Haru and (Y/n). Haru's critical eye slowly giving way to a genuine excitement as they found more and more options that suited (Y/n).
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, (Y/n) emerged in a dress that made both Haru and Akari gasp. It was perfect.
The dress was a stunning shade of white, the image is an elegant, floor-length gown made of a luxurious, silky fabric. It features a sleek, form-fitting design that accentuates her figure beautifully. The bodice has a gentle cowl neckline, adding a touch of sophistication, and is supported by delicate spaghetti straps. The waist is cinched, creating a flattering silhouette, and the skirt flows gracefully to the floor, giving the dress a timeless and classy appearance. Overall, it's a stunning piece perfect for formal occasions.
"Such elegance, such perfection!" Haru exclaimed in a fake French designer accent, her earlier frustration completely gone. "This is the one."
(Y/n) beamed, twirling in front of the mirror. "Thank you, Haru. I'm never going to doubt your fashion sense again."
Haru waved it off. "Just remember, I'm always right when it comes to fashion."
Akari laughed. "We'll keep that in mind."
After hours of trying on countless dresses, Haru's determination finally paid off. As she emerged from the fitting room, (Y/n) and Akari cheered in unison.
"This is it," Akari said, eyes wide with admiration.
Haru looked at herself in the mirror, a smile spreading across her face. "I think you're right."
The dress fit her perfectly, accentuating her figure and making her glow with confidence. All the frustration melted away, replaced by a sense of triumph.
"We did it," (Y/n) said, relief and happiness evident in her voice.
Haru turned to her friends, her eyes glistening with gratitude. "Yes, finally. I can rest in peace."
As they left the store, bags in hand, the sun was starting to set, casting a warm glow over the bustling streets. They decided to stop by a nearby café to get some drinks.
Haru sipped her iced latte, finally looking relaxed. "Alright, now that we've got the perfect dress, what's next on the agenda?"
(Y/n) took a sip of her tea, feeling more at ease. "I guess I should focus on finding the right shoes and accessories."
Akari leaned back, a mischievous smile on her face. "And maybe practice your walk. You know, just in case Haru decides to give you runway lessons."
Haru rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress a grin. "I know that you're joking, but it's not a bad idea. Confidence is key, after all."
"I think I'll leave the runway lessons for another time." (Y/n) laughed, feeling the stress of the day melting away. "Akari, stop giving Haru ideas."
Akari reached over, giving (Y/n) a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "That's what friends are for, giving each other ideas. And besides, it was fun watching Haru go into fashion guru mode."
Haru groaned. "I don't go to guru mode when it comes to fashion."
As they chatted and enjoyed their drinks, (Y/n) couldn't help but feel a deep sense of appreciation for her friends. Their dynamic might be intense at times, but it was moments like these that reminded her of how lucky she was to have them by her side.
Eventually, they finished their drinks and buying other items as they all bid goodbye to each other and headed home.
As she prepared for bed, (Y/n) made yet another mental note to herself: Never go last minute shopping again.
