(𝗬/𝗻) 𝘄𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝘂𝗽 with a smile on her face. For the first time in many months, she felt a lightness in her heart and a newfound sense of energy. She swung her legs over the side of the bed and stood up on her own, without needing anyone to coax her out of bed. The morning sun streamed through the window, casting a warm, golden glow across her room, and she felt an invigorating sense of independence and possibility. Today was going to be different; she could feel it in her bones.
The (h/c) haired girl entered the classroom and took her seat just moments before Sae walked in. This time, instead of ignoring each other, (Y/n) greeted him with a warm smile and a small wave. Sae returned the gesture, smiling and raising his hand in greeting as he walked past her to his seat.
After a blur of classes, the much-awaited lunchtime finally arrived, casting a sense of relief over the bustling school cafeteria. For (Y/n), it felt like things were finally falling back into place.
Sae found his usual spot at the lunch table, joining Haru and (Y/n), their little circle of friends. The familiar chatter and laughter surrounded them as they settled in. Shidou soon joined them, adding to the lively atmosphere with his jokes and anecdotes.
Rin stopped by their table for a while, catching up with the group before heading off to sit with his friends from the same grade. His presence added a dynamic energy to their gathering, and (Y/n) enjoyed their bonding moments as they exchanged stories and shared snacks.
As they ate, conversation flowed freely, ranging from school gossip to plans for the upcoming weekend. Sae shared a funny anecdote from his morning class, while Haru discussed a new book she was reading. (Y/n) chimed in with stories of her own, feeling grateful for the warmth of friendship after a hectic morning of classes.
With lunchtime passing in a blur of laughter and conversation, (Y/n) couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment settling over her. These moments with her friends were the highlights of her day, grounding her amidst the chaos of school life.
She hoped nothing else would disrupt these moments.
Meanwhile, Emiko hurried over to Akari, her expression filled with urgency. "You didn't tell me that Sae and (Y/n) became friends again!" she exclaimed, her voice barely concealing her surprise.
Akari shifted uncomfortably, avoiding Emiko's gaze as she mumbled, "I didn't think it was a big deal."
But Emiko wasn't about to let it go that easily. "Not a big deal?" she retorted, her tone incredulous. "This changes everything. We need to do something about it."
Emiko sighed, her mind already racing with thoughts of how to handle the situation. "However," she conceded. "I'll come up with a plan, I always do." She smirked.
"Wh— What are you planning..?" Akari asked as Emiko began to reveal her plans.
