There is a lake on the horizon
The light reflects off its surface
Tension builds upon its face
Birds caw over head
For only on this crystal lake
Will you know tranquility.
Over the skyline see it's refractions
Applying it's color to the sky
Painting with its paintbrush so clear
Canvas clouds and sunset pink
As you stare across its body
This is how you feel it's discussion.
As though repressed feelings loss
Lose all that burdens you
Release the aggression
Release all that holds you back
For upon crystal lakes water
Clean and pure
You can learn to endure.
There is a boy on the horizon
Who holds all of their burdens
Sitting listening to the discussion
Whether his friends will die
Listening to talk of transcendence
Upon the rope upon waters tension
One day his lake will flood
Without notice he will drown.
