I remember a time back before sands would flow. Long before my liver was blessed by a vipers venom. While my kidneys were plucked
From my sarcophagus of tendons
My hair pulled little by little
Into the cotton gin of fate
My toenails removed from their shelter of skin.
Bone marrow sipped from chalices in ichor palaces.
I sleep while my body ruins itself
My blood freezes over.
A time way before I was even alive.
