Katherine's POV
The shrill sound of my alarm jolted me out of sleep. I shut it off, before slowly sitting up, rubbing all traces of sleep from my eyes. I remembered where I was. Nick's bedroom. After the film and pizza, I'd fallen asleep, and Nick must have slept downstairs or something.
I checked my phone; it was 12:35pm. Yikes. Thank god it was a Sunday. I saw a text from Nick:
Gone to do some stuff at work. Hope you slept well x
I smiled slightly and headed down. Will was in the kitchen with Eve. He was making toast and blasting music. He looked up. 'Oh, hi Katherine. Dad's just gone to Calimov to get some things done.'
'Yeah, he dropped me a text.' I nodded.
'Would you like a coffee, Katherine?' Eve asked.
'Yes please, thanks.' I sat at the kitchen island.
'Dad told us about Hoffman coming back.' Will said. 'I can't believe he just showed up making threats.'
'Yeah, well, I wasn't expecting it either.' I shook my head. 'It was quite a shock.'
Eve put a coffee in front of me. 'Thanks Eve.'
Lily's POV
'Abe! Get down here and help with this laundry!' Mum yelled up the stairs.
'I'm coming!' Abe shouted in an annoyed tone.
I shook my head, resuming feeding Monty, who was kicking around in his high chair.
'Here, Lily, I'll finish this, do you want to set up the camp beds in your room?' Mum offered.
'I'll only set up one, Charlotte can have my bed, I'm staying at the Clarke's for the next 2 weeks.' I told her.
'Oh okay, love.'
I gave mum Monty's dish and spoon and headed up to my room, setting up the camp bed, which wasn't an arduous task as I just needed to unfold it and add a mattress topper, pillow and a couple of blankets.
I made sure all my prized possessions were locked away and reset the firewall on my computer; Charlotte was smart but not too good with technology. It wasn't that I didn't trust Charlotte and Zoe not to touch my things, but I didn't trust them.
Almost as if on cue, I heard the door and dad's voice; he'd gone to pick Zoe and Charlotte up. I rolled my eyes and plastered on a polite smile before heading downstairs. Zoe and Charlotte were standing in the hallway; mum was taking their coats. Zoe had grown a foot taller since the last time I'd seen her and I almost didn't recognise Charlotte. She'd changed a lot.
She now had light golden blonde highlights in her dark hair, she wore natural makeup, aside from the smoky eye makeup. Her style had completely changed too. She wore a dark green sweater with a white collar, skinny black jeans with rips in them, trendy black combat style boots, silver dagger earrings hung from her ears and a black fedora was perched on her head.
'Lily! So good to see you again!' She smiled, and pulled me in for a hug.
'Hi!' I said as enthusiastically, despite being confused as hell. Usually Charlotte was a bit of a bitch to me.
'Would you two like a drink?' Mum asked Zoe and Charlotte. They both said yes so we all headed into the kitchen, where Abe was unloading the dryer. Mum switched the coffee machine on and we all sat around the table.
'So, what have you girls been up to?' Mum asked them.
'Mostly college.' Charlotte said. 'Studying fashion.' I raised an eyebrow. Since when was she into fashion? But then judging from her new look, she'd developed an interest. About time.
