1 Week later
Katherine's POV
'Here you go, all typed up and emailed.' I dumped the stack of papers on Nick's desk.
He looked up. 'Thanks.'
I narrowed my eyes. 'That's the third time this week you've asked me to do this for you.'
'Yes, and?'
'I'm not your damn PA.' I glared at him.
'Why, are you asking for a change in job roles?' He smirked.
'Not a chance. Like I want to be sat in your office 24/7, being ordered about by you all the time. Hmm... I don't think so somehow.' I scoffed.
He laughed. 'I was only teasing. Anyway, what's so bad about it? You'd get more pay.'
'Nice try, but I've still got my pride left, thanks. I'm staying where I am.' I said, turning to leave.
'And your ego.' He muttered.
'I heard that.' I spun around, glaring.
'Oh no, sue me then!' He said sarcastically.
I ignored him and left the office. There seemed to be a lot more banter and joking around with us two lately. Maybe it was because Nick had begun to trust me again.
I sat at my desk and saw that an email had just come through. I clicked on it:
Dear Miss Calvin
You are cordially invited to the college reunion event at Brooklands college on Friday. It will start at 7pm and finish at 11pm. This is a chance to reconcile with old school friends and reminisce old memories. We hope to see you there.
Jonathon Howard
Headmaster
Brooklands College
I stared at it. Seriously? A college reunion? Why would I want to go? I hated that place. I mean, yeah, there were the good memories, but there were bad ones too.
Nick's POV
I frowned and opened the email I'd just received:
Dear Mr Clarke

Hmm.. Sounds fun.
I idly wondered if Katherine had got the same email too. If so, we could go together. A chance to do something outside of work for once. I wanted to spend more time with her. The more time I did, the more I wanted to confess my feelings for her.
I'd discovered that my old feelings for Katherine had resurfaced just a few weeks ago. It was a shock to the system, but then again it shouldn't have been so surprising as we were getting along better than ever, now that I could trust her.
'Katherine! Could you come in here for a moment?' I called.
She rolled her eyes and walked in. 'Yes? Need anymore reports typing up?'
'No, actually. I was just wondering if you got an email about a college reunion event thingy happening this friday.' I said.
'Oh, yeah, I did.' She raised her eyebrows. 'Why?'
'I was just wondering if you'd like to go with me.'
