"We can marry Hope and Haven. People are here for Scott-Smith wedding, we will give them that. In this way we will save face." Mr. Scott said.

"No Dan we can't do this to our girls." My father said.

"Maxwell think about the deal we made with the Asian investors. You know they are very traditional and cancelling wedding can make us lose that investment as well." Mr. Scott said trying to convince my father. "Don't you think I know that." Dad said a little frustrated.

Dad looked at me and then turned towards the window and said, "I'll not force my daughter, it is her decision to make."

I might have denied joining Dad's business, but I knew how hard he had worked all these years and how much he loved it. His business means a lot to him. But he had never forced his choices and decisions on me or my brother. Saying this he has left me in a dilemma.

Mr. Scott turned towards me and was about to say something but was interrupted by a knock on the door. The door opened and Mrs. Scott entered with Hope Scott. She was wearing a blue satin dress and looking a little scared for some reason. Mr. Scott hugged her and sighed in relief.

"Hope you know I always make right decisions for you which are for your betterment and how much I love you." Hearing this Hope gave a big smile to his dad. "Yes daddy" she said innocently.

"So, I want you to trust me and marry Haven" she looked shocked. "But...how..." He interrupted her "You are going to marry her today" and then said something in a low voice. She looked a little pale which made me concerned about what he said. But she nodded and said a small yes.

"Hope has no issues, she is ready for this marriage. Haven what have you decided." Mr. Scott asked me. I was still looking at her face and it was clear that she was trying hard not to cry. She had fisted her left hand so tight around her purse that it had turned white. "Can I talk to Hope for a minute alone." I said.

"Sure, you can. We will wait outside." My father said. Mr. Scott nodded his head and turned to Hope. He kissed her forehead and mumbled something and left.

Sawyer didn't talk much about Hope when met. Even at their house, she silently ate her food and spoke only when someone ask her something. I didn't get a chance to have a talk with her.

After everyone left, she stood at the same place looking at the floor. "Hey" I said.

"Hello." She said slowly. "Hope are you okay with this marriage?" She just nodded her head.

"That doesn't sound so sure."

She looked up, her eyes were red. "Yes, I am" she said this time in a bit loud voice still not looking in my eyes.

"You don't have any problem; we don't even know each other."

"I am okay with it."

" Do you want to ask me anything?" I asked. She looked up at me and tilt her head to right a little and then shook her head and averted her eyes. I sat on the couch thinking about what to do. The way her father behaved with her and announced that she has to get married felt a little weird. She was also looking sacred and pale when he was talking to her.

After a few seconds I heard her asking in a small voice, "Do you love Sawyer?" She was looking everywhere but not at me.

"No, I do not" I said and asked her again, "Are you sure about the marriage."

She for the first time looked me in the eye and said, "I definitely am." There was an innocence in her eyes somehow made me feel protective towards her.

Just then his dad entered and asked, "So what is your decision?"

"We are okay with this." I said. "I have called my assistant; she will bring a white dress for you. Serena, get her ready in 25 minutes." saying this he left the room with my dad. My mother came towards me and asked, "You can still say no. Maxwell and Brian will handle the business in case of any problem."

"No Mum, it's fine. I am ready to marry Hope."

After we said our I do's and the reception went well. Hope and I didn't talk much throughout the evening.
