Minjeong was woken up by the constant ringing of his phone. He peeked at the caller. God damn it, he swore under his breath.
"Hello, mother. For what do I have this pleas-" is all he could say.
"You're engaged? Without telling me? What kind of a son are you? You didn't even introduce her to us! Turn on your camera right now." his mother berated.
"Mother, it's.." He paused for a moment, looking at the clock, "Mother, it's 4AM right now, could we please continue this conversation when the sun is up?"
"Minjeong, the sun is up here," his mother continued.
"I mean, when the sun is up here. I have a meeting with the board later, mother. Please?" he begged. With back and forth refusal and begging, Minjeong finally managed to get off the phone.
He sat back, thinking about what his mother said. "Engaged? Who the hell am I-"
Ping.
Guess we're engaged now, huh? - an unknown number popped up.
It's Karina. Better save my number, 'fiancee' ;)
She also sent a link to an article. "Karina Yu- engaged to Kim Minjeong, the son of Kim Legacy Hotel tycoon!"
That was fast, he thought. He continued reading the article.
Karina Yu, the all-rounder actress is finally tying the knot with Kim Minjeong. Not much is known about him, apart of he was once engaged to Jeon Somi, the world renowned model. The Korean born in England, graduated from Cambridge. Much of his personal life remained private. We're looking forward for the wedding
"Heh, small article." He locked his phone.
"All I did was help someone in need." He stared into the darkness. Now that his slumber is disturbed, he's unable to go back to sleep. He switched on the bedside lamp and started googling about his 'fiancee'.
He had to admit, Karina is very beautiful. Her smile could light up a room. Her presence could ward away the thickness of uneasiness.30 minutes had gone by, satisfied with his research. He got up from his bed, and started tiptoeing around. He's currently residing in a two storey 3 bedroom penthouse, complete with a small private gym and a library, courtesy of his uncle, of course. Yizhuo's room is on the other side of the hallway. To the left of Yizhuo's door is the staircase. He had to be as silent as possible to go downstairs. He is now in the middle of the stair.
"Bruv thought he could be a ninja around me, huh?" Yizhuo said, startling Minjeong.
Minjeong groaned, "I tried to be silent, you know. It's not my fault that you were gifted with a godly hearing." Yizhuo laughed while shaking his head, "Come on. Let's get you your pretentious coffee now."
"Hey! That pretentious coffee is what keeping me sane around you," Minjeong punched Yizhuo lightly.
Aside from being Minjeong's driver, Yizhuo is also an excellent cook and a barista who makes mean coffee. But all he could whip out right now is a simple sandwich. He placed the sandwich and co!ee in front of Minjeong who is still engrossed in the file given by Ollie yesterday.
Breaking the silence and also Minjeong's concentration, Yizhuo asked, "What's the agenda today? The lads back home are pestering me about your so called engagement."
Ah, the lads back home, consisting of Minju and Minji. Sooyoung decided to call themselves The Grand Green Gang, a wordplay of the Gangreen Gang.
Ping
My manager would like to have a discussion with you. If you're okay with that - Karina texted.
Minjeong stared at his phone.
