A week has passed after the Minjeong debacle, and it also has been a week since she had seen him. Minjeong is finally done with her last scene for the movie. Her head still occupied with Minjeong.
She sat in front of her makeup table in her private room. She looked around for Aeri through the opened door. Aeri was talking with the writer and producer, nodding her head vigorously. She saw Aeri shaking their hands before jogging lightly to her.
Aeri bent her body down, "They loved you today. They said the scene were extra heart wrenching, like ugh," Aeri pretended to grasp her heart.
Aeri sat next to her, opening some files in her lap. "They told me that the premiere would be next year. They will call us if they have a definite date."
Karina nodded but kept silent as Aeri continued to have a one sided conversation. She would hum in agreement every once in a while.
"Rina? Someone is here to see you. Aeri, come with me," Jisoo popped her head. Behind her, Minjeong stood with a smile. He looked so ethereal even though he's only wearing a white jumper, a crew neck, and black trousers.
Aeri hurriedly went out of the room, closing the door behind Minjeong.
"Hi," he greeted her. He moved his lips to a smile, "I'm sorry if I'm disturbing you but Jisoo said that it would be fine if I were to come visit."
Karina stared at him, "What are you doing here? Can't you wait till I'm home?"
"I got bored at home. Jennie won't allow me to go to the office," he tried to sit on a chair too small for his size. "Plus, I hardly see you.. you know, after that night. I'm here to apologize."
Karina saw Minjeong playing with something in his hands. Minjeong followed the direction of Karina's eyes. "Ah, this is for you." he handed her a tiny pink box. He cleared his throat, "It's for, um, the fake thing."
Karina opened the box, a ring with a pink gem sat flushed staring right back at her.
"Um, thank you? I thought you were going to back out," Karina stated.
"I had an earful of that from Jennie already. She also told me that you stopped her from seeing me that night. Thank you for that because if you didn't she might've choked me to death," Minjeong laughed.
Karina nodded.
Minjeong stood from his tiny seat, "Want to grab something to eat? Or do you have another scene later?"
Karina looked at him and said, "I'm done with my filming already. Why don't you sit right there and let me get changed?" Karina headed towards a small changing room.
Minjeong stared in confusion, "But why? I can just wait outside you know?"
"It would be odd if you were to wait outside when you are my fiancée," she said.
Karina had a point. Minjeong looked around the cramped room, he looked to the cold white tiles and transported back to the day after his drunken stupor.
- You're lucky I didn't tell father about this.
You didn't?
-Of course I didn't, you dumb headed fish.
What happened anyway?
- I don't know, Minjeong. You tell me. You called out for Somi.
I saw her with her boyfriend.
-When?
After I bought a ring for Karina.
-This boyfriend, is he like this tall? Auburn hair?
