Third Person POV
Night.
Nighttime had descended upon the town of Kuoh, the sun having dipped below the horizon some time ago. In its place, the moon illuminated the darkness of the night, with the occasional star dotting the vast open black expanse.
The residents of Kuoh were nestled in their homes, tucked away in their cozy beds as their minds drifted from the mortal plane into the world of their imagination, where they could be anything they desired.
Perched atop a hill on the east side of Kuoh, there stood a relatively large abandoned house. The windows were shattered, the wood appeared ancient with holes throughout the structure, and the plant life surrounding it seemed eager to engulf it in vines and grass.
The wind rustled through the leaves of the trees, producing a gentle yet eerie whistle-like noise that echoed around the deserted building.
Suddenly, a blue portal materialized in front of the abandoned house, causing a small shockwave. The vortex roared for a few seconds before Issei Hyoudou emerged from it.
Yet, he didnt seem like himself. His facial expression seemed to be more stoic and serious, like he seemed to be annoyed at something and his eyes which were once chocolate brown were now glowing with a blue hue.
It seemed like Issei wasn't himself.
Like he wasnt in control of his own body.
After stepping onto the ground, the portal behind Issei closed up and left the boy who slowly looked up at the structure before him.
Issei(?): "So this is where this Rias Gremory told Issei to meet..."
He turned his head to the left, then to the right as he attempted to locate Rias and her Peerage but unfortunately it seemed that they haven't arrived yet. All the brown-haired boy could sense wirhin the vicinity was himself and whatever resided within the house.
This annoyed the boy a little, she called him out here to 'Show off' what her Peerage can do and yet she was running late. Wheather or not she got held up by something was non of Issei's concern, nor did he care for the crimson-haired devil.
Well, the one controlling the boy didn't care but he won't say that out loud.
Issei let out a small sigh.
Issei(?): "No point in waiting for their arrival, this wont take long..."
With the Yamato in hand, Issei cautiously approached the front door, or rather, what remained of it, and gingerly pushed it open as he ventured into the dilapidated structure.
The scene inside mirrored the chaos outside; objects strewn about haphazardly, gaping holes in the floor and walls, torn wallpaper fluttering in the slight breeze, with vines and grass defiantly reclaiming the space through crevices.
Moreover, there appeared to be a smattering of shattered glass littering the ground, catching the dim light that filtered through the dusty windows, casting fractured reflections across the desolate room.
Issei merely walked forward, the sound of his footsteps and the creaking of the floor boards echoed throughout the entire building.
After a minute, he soon came to a stop as he turned his head in the direction of what appeared to be a massive gathering of shadows.
Issei(?): "Your pathetic excuse for hiding isn't going to work; reveal yourself!"
???: "My, my, what is this delicious scent I smell~? It's breathtaking~"
