Chapter 22: Best Party Ever

Third Person POV

Issei: "So, Aika. How many people are attending this party?"

Aika: "Not many, just a few from our school."

Issei: "And I take it that all of them are girls?"

Aika paused just as she grabbed the doorknob of her home's front door, glancing back at Issei and grew a small smirk.

Aika: "Why do you ask? Looking to perv on someone in particular?"

Issei couldn't help but chuckle a little at Aika's words; he had a feeling that she would say something like that if he asked. Issei was merely curious about who she invited to her party; he figured that it had to be all girls since he doubts that any of them would stay if Aika invited any male students... besides Kiba.

Actually, Issei bets that Kiba has been asked to attend the party but politely chose to deny the invitation because if he went, he would be swarmed by his adoring fangirls. Honestly, that would be the most hilarious thing that Issei would have ever seen in his entire life.

Issei smiled at Aika.

Issei: "Nah, just curious about who I should expect to see."

Aika giggled.

Aika: "You're about to find out."

With that, Aika opened the door and walked inside with Issei following closely behind. The moment he stepped inside the house, he couldn't help but let out a small whistle of amazement from what he could see. The interior of the house was kind of a mix between old Japanese culture with the other half being modern; Issei had to admit that he was starting to get even more jealous of Aika's house.

Seriously, how can the only perverted girl in his school have such a nice place? It was kind of unfair to the brown-haired boy because his own home just felt a little... boring? Plain? It was one of those two, probably both if Issei had to take a guess.

Issei: "Okay, seriously. Why is your house so bloody cool?!"

Aika giggled in amusement; she could feel Issei's jealousy.

Aika: "Probably because..."

She gave him a cocky smirk.

Aika: "I'm awesome."

Issei let out a fake gasp of horror, pointing a finger at Aika.

Issei: "You monster! How dare you say that in front of me!"

He then pointed at himself.

Issei: "Throughout Heaven and Earth, I alone am the awesome one!"

Aika just smirked.

Aika: "We shall see about that, Issei."

Issei grew a small smirk as he followed Aika; he had to say that he never expected to see this side of Aika. Whenever she appeared out of nowhere back at Kuoh Academy, she would normally just creep out Issei, Matsuda, and Motohama to the point they want to jump out of a window.

But seeing her act so differently was honestly a breath of fresh air, and in Issei's opinion, she should do it more often.

Aika led Issei to the living room where the party would be taking place. When they arrived, Issei was greeted by a bunch of familiar-looking faces. He had a feeling he would recognize some of the attending people from school, but seeing the entire Kendo club was not really in his top five.
