Chapter 15: A Glimpse of Power

Third Person POV

Rias: "Don't ever go near that church again!"

Issei raised an eyebrow.

Currently, Issei was in the Occult Research Club room with Rias and her Peerage after arriving half an hour ago. Rias asked Issei why he was a little late to school, with the boy saying that he had to help a girl named Asia.

He had explained everything to them, from the blonde falling over up until he dropped her off at the church, which seemed to get Rias a little tense.

Issei: "And why's that? I know it's abandoned and all, but there's gotta be a reason"

Rias nodded.

Rias: "The church is enemy territory for us devils. By simply setting foot there, you could create a conflict between those on the side of God and us devils"

Issei: "It's a good thing I'm not a devil'

Rias: "You should also stay away from those associated with the church, exorcists in particular, because they are blessed by God"

Issei was a little taken aback by this. Stay away from Asia? Why would Issei do that? Asia seems like a really nice girl, both cute and caring.

Even if she were a part of the church, Asia didn't seem like the type to harm others, even if they were devils. She was literally too innocent, like the only threat she poses to people is blinding them with her innocent smile. Plus, Issei promised to have some tea with her the next time he visits or sees her, and he doesn't want to break that promise.

Issei: "Rias, I understand your concern. But you have nothing to fear. Asia doesn't even look like she can hurt a fly"

Rias: "You don't know that, Issei! She could be tricking you; she may even be working for the Fallen Angels"

Hearing that caused Issei to fall silent. Asia working for the Fallen Angels? No, she couldn't work with those individuals. The last one that tried to kill Issei seemed to be a total jerk, probably a secret pedophile as well. Luckily, he won't be grooming any children now that he had a bullet in his head.

Either way, if Asia is working with the Fallen Angels, then Issei better hope that she isn't like them and get her out of there... or else he will have to do something he doesn't want to do. After all, Asia was so kind during his short time with her, and Issei could feel that she genuinely wanted to be friends with him.

He doesn't want to take that away from an innocent girl. He just has to hope that those Fallen Angels don't do anything to her.

Issei: "Maybe your right, Rias. There is a chance that Asia is working with them...."

He then put on a serious expression as his right eye glowed red while his left was blue instead.

Issei: "But until then, I trust her"

Rias was taken aback by not only Issei eye's changing color, but from how serious he sounded. He wasnt anything like this the first time she laid her eyes on him, back then he and his two friends were peeping on the Kendo girls, getting chased by them which she found a little amusing.

Back then, she could tell that Issei didn't take many things seriously, his report card can back that up too. Though seeing the brown-haired boy being so serious just felt... strange.

Rias: "I-I understand, Issei. But you still ca-"

She soon halted as there was no point in trying to make Issei not see this Asia girl, he wasnt apart of her Peerage so she can't order him. She also doesnt know what Issei even is, Rias can sense a Sacred Gear on him but there was also something else too.
