~Katara POV~

I decided to wake up and see if I can master the Water Whip. I was hoping to master it, but I kinda suck at it.

As soon as I failed it, I heard the snap of a twig behind me, and I was ready to defend myself in my stance. Once the figure stepped out, it was Jinhai.

Kat: Jinhai, what are you doing up?

Jinhai: I could ask you the same thing.

Kat: I just wanted to practice the Water Whip.

Jinhai: You just can't get over it, can you?

Kat: Not really.

As I kept practicing, I felt Jinhai watching me, and it was a bit weird.

Kat: Are you staring at me?

Jinhai: I mean, I wanted to see how you do.

It made me laugh as I was trying to concentrate, but I couldn't because Jinhai would distract me every time.

Kat: I can't practice now thanks to you.

Jinhai: You blame me?

Kat: Not really.

We both giggled as he decided to speak up again.

Jinhai: You know, you still need to apologize to Aang.

Kat: I know. I'm hoping I find the right time to let him know how I felt about going off on him.

Jinhai: Good. I'm sorry I've been hard on you earlier. I just wanted you to apologize to him.

Kat: I know you are, and I'm sorry too. You want to practice your sword skills while I try to practice the Water Whip?

Jinhai: Why not? First, I gotta set up some dummies.

Kat: I can help you with that.

~Jinhai POV~

We set up some dummies that are full of leaves, wood, and some dirt. I didn't want to focus on the wood too much because my sword would break, so using the leaves for the limbs would be a good idea, but I had an idea for a weapon for travel, but it's limited.

The limited weapon is something that I call the black eggs. They're hollowed out eggs filled with sand, because the Fire Nation soldiers wear helmets while they wear plate armor.

It's perfect to distract them while we fight them, but the question remains: how can we get up close and personal to blind them so we can escape? It remains to be seen, no pun intended because sand can actually injure the eyes once they're in the peripheral vision.

Anyway, while Katara was practicing her waterbending, I sliced the "limbs" while using some sap I found from the trees to use a test egg against the head. I crushed the egg and threw the sand at the "eyes", and I saw that the sand covered the eyes really well.

Jinhai: Hey Kat. Come look at this!

She looked back and saw that the black eggs worked!

Kat: Wow! That's so cool! How'd you come up with this?

Jinhai: Let's say I stole some eggs from the market without the vendors knowing while stealing ink from the ship we came out from to camouflage them.

Kat: Stealing?! You could get in trouble!

Jinhai: Remember the last time you stole something?
