ㅡ Erix, give me back my phone!ㅡ I was already tired of running, even though I hadn't run much. Erix looked back and smirked.ㅡErix!ㅡ I stopped running and put my hands on my knee.

ㅡYou are very sedentary ㅡhe said as he approached.

ㅡ Look...ㅡI took a deep breath and raised my head. ㅡWhat's yours, huh?

ㅡYou seemed very lonely and I was bored, so I decided to disturb you.ㅡHe shrugged.

ㅡBut there are several girls in that room who would love to be disturbed by you.ㅡI raised my eyebrow.

ㅡAnd don't you feel honored to be disturbed by me? ㅡ She asked. I analyzed his face, but there was no expression that revealed whether he really wanted to know my answer.

ㅡNo. You're not my type. ㅡI gave a half smile and tried to take the phone from his hand, but Erix lifted it.

ㅡ What do you mean I'm not your type? ㅡ He seemed to be amused by the fact that I couldn't reach his hand. I snorted, already surrendering.

ㅡErix, you're too pretty to be my type. There are many girls who like you and you are always the center of attention. And I barely know you either. Now stop stressing me and give me my phone already!

His expression was completely indecipherable. Slowly he lowered his arm, allowing me to pick up the phone and return to the room. I sat in my seat and put the phone to my ear.

ㅡNow yesㅡ I said and closed my eyes. That's when I realized what I said earlier.

"Too pretty to be my type"??

ㅡDamn, Faye, what's your problem??ㅡI grumbled and hit my forehead.

Erix only returned to the classroom when the bell rang, announcing the third class. He didn't look at me, which I was pleased with. It was better this way.

ㅡGood morning, everyone. ㅡThe philosophy professor, Mr. Williams entered the room and left his materials on the table. ㅡ Today I want to talk to you about the meaning of life. ㅡ What is the meaning of life for you? ㅡ He swept his eyes around the room, and hovered over me. Oh no... ㅡ Faye?

Cool. Now I would have to talk about something I never understood.

ㅡ Well, to tell the truth I don't understand life.ㅡMr. Williams nodded for me to continue. ㅡMy life has never made much sense, so I don't have an answer for that.ㅡI could feel eyes watching me. Talking about this made me a little uncomfortable, so I didn't want to expand on the comment.

ㅡHmm, right. And for you, Zara?ㅡHe asked. Zara smiled and stood up to respond.

ㅡAh, my life is wonderful. I have everything I want and I get everything I want. There's only one person missing...ㅡHe looked at Erix with a sideways smile. Murmurs and laughter sounded throughout the room. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes.

ㅡOkay, Zara, you can sit down. Here we can see the difference between the two. One doesn't see any feeling in life and the other already sees several...

Mr. Williams continued talking, but I didn't pay much attention. I didn't like this type of class, because it made me think too much.

ㅡI want you to study this, because it will be on the test. Try to find some meaning in your lives, even if it is complicated. Your exams start in the second week of next month, so you'll have plenty of time to find meaning. ㅡSo, he ended his "speech" and packed his things so he could leave the room when the bell rang.

...

I sat in my lonely corner and picked up my cell phone. I didn't have anything interesting to play with, so I played some music and put the headphones in my ears.

The song seasons from wave to earth started playing, making me feel calmer. It was one of my favorites that, despite being a little sad, calmed me in an inexplicable way.

I watched the people passing through that courtyard. There would be some theater in the auditorium today, so some people seemed excited about that. I saw Erix going to the same table as yesterday, with his hands in the pocket of the black sweatshirt she was wearing, headphones in his ear and his usual serious expression.

But I'll pray for you all the time... ㅡ The singer's voice sounded melancholic in my ears , right at the time I was staring at Erix. He seemed to realize this, as he looked back at me.

It was then that the insufferable Adrian stopped in front of me, breaking our eye contact.

ㅡHiㅡHe said and smiled.ㅡLook, I'm sorry about yesterday. You must have thought I made a bet with my friends to go out with you... But that's not it. I really want to go out with youㅡ he said.

ㅡWhy do you want to go out with me so much, Adrian? ㅡI asked, after taking off the headphones.

ㅡAh, because I have a crush on youㅡhe replied a little hesitantly. I held a grimace.

But I thought. It wouldn't be a bad idea to go out with him. Well, I wasn't into him, but Adrian would stay on my case until I accepted his request.

ㅡOkay.ㅡI gave up.ㅡBut just this once, huh. ㅡ Adrian he nodded with a smile and asked me for my phone number. I passed it to him and he went back to the table where he was with his friends.

My eyes met Erix's again. However, this time he seemed more serious than before.

I didn't even know that was possible.

I looked away and I went back to listening to my music, until the signal rang.

ㅡDamn, I can't even listen to music in peace!ㅡI grumbled and got up.

I went straight to the library, as I didn't want to watch the theater. When I got there, I went to the romance book area. I picked one that had a pink cover, with some flowers drawn on it.

I sat on the chair and opened the book. There was no one there, which was wonderful.

Two minutes passed and the silence was interrupted by footsteps. I looked over the book, finding Erix. I ignored him and continued reading.

ㅡAre you really going out with Adrian? ㅡ she asked suddenly.

ㅡ Yes? ㅡ My answer sounded more like a question. ㅡ Anything against it?

Erix sat in the chair opposite me and crossed her arms. I closed the book, already giving up reading. My peace was gone.

ㅡWhat happened now?ㅡ I crossed my hands over the book and stared at it.

ㅡDo you happen to like him?ㅡHe asked.

That made me want to laugh.

ㅡNo. I can't like anyone, Erix. I'm just going out with him so he can stop bothering me.ㅡI gestured with my hands as I spoke.

ㅡWhy can't you like anyone?ㅡHe crossed his hands on the table.

ㅡAre you going to interview me now?ㅡI raised my eyebrow.

ㅡI'm curious about you.
