{Venti POV}

Time sure has passed, and yet these feelings have only grown stronger. I keep telling myself 'you cant have him, he'll die long before you ever do' and 'he probably doesnt like you back'. I sit at the Dawn Winery, staring at the empty shot glass in front of me. Kaeya sat down beside him.

"What's up with you?"
"What do you mean-"
"You've only drank 3 shots and you've zoned out a lot."
"It's nothing-"

Diluc walked over to them since it wasn't as busy, "I think Mr. Barbatos is in love."

"Wah- n-no-!!" Even if I sounded confident, my red face gave it all away.
"Yup he is," Kaeya chuckled.
"So, who's the lucky guy? Let me guess the one you've been hanging out with almost every single day."
"How did you-"
"I have my ways." Diluc responded simply. I sighed, unsure what to do.
"Why don't you tell him?" Kaeya asked.
"Because then I have to tell him who I am! Plus...gods aren't supposed to fall in love with mortals..."
"Who said he's mortal?" Diluc asked.
"What?"
"I said who said he's mortal. I mean as far as you're aware he could be some immortal being."

I remained silent, realizing he was right. I stood up, a grin plastered on my face.

"Thank you Diluc."
"No problem Tone-deaf bard."
"Hey!! Im not a Tone-deaf bard!!"

Diluc and Kaeya just laughed. I quickly left to find Ambrose to ask him whether he was mortal or not, maybe the better question would be 'how old are you'...doesn't matter right now.

I will find out if he's immortal.
