chapter sixteen

Putting on her best outfit for todays special training, raven stared at her leggings and cropped hoodie, her hair in Dutch braids and staring at no longer black eye in the mirror. She was finally healed, her hands no longer red. As much as she didn't like what was happening to Cobra Kai, she wasn't going to let it cloud her judgement anymore, going with the flow.

She never told anyone who punched her, deep down she wanted to forgive Hawk, not wanting to lose anyone else in her life.  Not like her mother has called it at all.

Coming out of the bathroom and standing with Tory and Aisha, the two girls were happy she was training again, Raven not so much. "About time, need my feisty girl back." Tory gritted with a smile, riling Raven up a little.

"Everybody get your Gi's on. Training starts in five minutes." Johnny announced, Raven and the girls turning to look over at him with the announcement. Looking at each other and not knowing what he meant by that, Raven walked over for her dad, Miguel not far behind her.

"Sensei, we were told we'd be doing special training today in the woods." Raven told him, Miguel nodding as her backup. "And Sensei Kreese cleared Raven for this too." He added, Raven nodding towards that, not exactly remembering that conversation however.

"What's happening in the woods?" Asked Johnny, both of them looking at kreese. "Well I thought it was a good time to separate the men from the boys. And have the girls show them who's boss." He simply explained, raven fist bumping the two girls with that comment.

Watching the two men mumble, Johnny finally agreed to the training, telling them to meet them there. Already knowing Aisha would take her, she also was taking Tory, Miguel and hawk, being beaten to say shot gun by Tory.

All getting in the car and sitting beside Miguel, Raven swallowed the lumped in her throat as she made eye contact with him, her eyes lighting up for a moment. "I'm glad you're back, was weird without you and your dad." He told her, letting her put her seatbelt on first.

"Yeah it was getting depressing without it." She said, both of them looking away when Tory got in the car, Raven pretending to be interested with two pigeons eating ice cream from the ground.

Leaving the parking lot and staring out the window, Raven wondered what this training entailed, her mind trailing off to Demetri and hoping he was okay. It had been harder for him than it had been for her, naturally one to call people out on their shit, but with Demetri, he wanted to stay away far as possible.

Miguel and Eli were the same, until they both changed in better and worse ways with cobra Kai, and Raven knew it wasn't her dad's fault, it's was John Kreese. Back in the 80's it was worse, she knew because of the stories Daniel would tell her at dinner, but her dad's stories weren't any better.

Arriving to the place and seeing everyone else's cars arrive, Raven got out and made sure to leave the door open for Miguel as well, looking over the hood to see hawk.

Looking at the woods and realizing she's been here before, ravens eyes trailed over to Rickenberger who thought the same thing, both walking together. "Isn't this where we kicked that guys ass?" He asked, Raven scoffing at that.

"You mean when I beat his drunk ass as you all watched confused?" She corrected, patting his chest as the two walked with the rest of the group into the woods.

"Hey, do they know each other from before cobra Kai?" Asked Miguel to hawk, both walking together and watching Raven walk with him. "The girls past is a mystery, I don't barely know her middle name." Aisha said, cutting into the conversation, Miguel and Hawk looking at each other, both knowing it.
