Chapter 35

After two months

Jasper's Pov

After what happened in the market ay sunod-sunod na labanan ang naganap. We were busy protecting our own territory and lands, especially the academy. One month, during one of the battle we successfully took Dahlia back when the enemy decided to make her as a bait for us.

It's already two months that pass and still no trace of the princess. Ever since Dahlia's return she became cold toward us except her friend 'Claire'.

"You should be at your own kingdom, preparing for the celebration." saad ni Isa na kakarating lang.

Nandito kami ngayon sa rooftop ng isa sa building ng academy. Last week, the enemies stop attacking us that made us more wary of them.

"Then, why are you here?" tanong sa kanya ni William.

"I'm bored, Dahlia doesn't interact with me since then." saad nito.

The two of them are really close friends but not now.

"Don't worry, she will talk to us again." saad naman ni Jeff.

"I'll be going home now. See you guys tomtomorrow." saad ko at mabilis na umalis.

It seems that Dahlia is hiding something from us and I want to know it.

"Claire, since the celebration will be held in the Sunlight Kingdom you should wear something comfortable. And also, always be alert of your surroundings. We don't know when they are gonna attack again." saad ko nga makita ko siya sa hallway.

"Yes, your highness. Dahlia and I already bought a presentable dress to wear for tomorrow's event." saad nito.

"Good then, stay with Dahlia always." saad ko at umalis ng tumango ito.

I have this feeling na hindi maganda ang mangyayari bukas kaya kailangan na ihanda ko ang mga kawal namin.

Claire's Pov

"Come on, Claire. We have to go." sigaw sa akin ni Dahlia na kakalabas lang ng kwarto.

"Sandali lang." sigaw ko pabalik habang sinusuot ang heels na binili niya para sa akin.

I was wearing a red gown at red rin ang kulay ng heels na sinusuot ko. After a second Dahlia barged in with raised brows. She wears a dark green gown that fits her body so well.

"Ito na po, tapos na." saad ko at napangiti lang ito at hinila ako palabas ng dorm.

"You're so excited." saad ko at mas lumawak ang ngiti nito.

"Of course, this the princess birthday and I believe that there's a possibility na babalik siya." saad nito.

"That's good then." saad ko.

Nakarating kami sa harap ng gate ng academy kung saab lahat ng estudyante ay naghihintay. Baka naghihintay sila ng masasakyan papunta sa palasyo.

"Lets go." saad nito at hinila ako palabas.

Mayroong naghihintay sa amin na kalesa na kulay berde at puno ng mga halaman.

"Magandang araw po, binibini." bati ng lalaki at binuksan ang pinto ng kalesa.

Tinanguan lang niya ito at pumasok na kami. Ilang sandali ay naramdaman kong gumalaw ito hudyat na paalis na kami ng academy.

"This is my family's carriage and that guy is one of the loyal guard in our home." saad nito.

"Eh paano naman yung ibang estudyante?" tanong ko.

"The palace will send carriage for them." sagot na nito.

"Don't worry about them. At least enjoy the party since we don't know kung kailan ulit aatake ang mga kalaban." dagdag pa nito.

"Alam ko naman na kaya natin silang pigilan as long as gusto natin ng katahimikan sa mundo." saad ko.

"You know, the dark kingdom should not be fighting with us since the prophecy is starting to destroy the world. We don't even know if the people in Hunter's Village are still alive." saad nito.

"We have a day to relax and enjoy so why not forget about the problems first." saad pa nito na ikinangiti ko.

"Don't worry, Dahlia as long as nandito ako sisiguraduhin ko na ligtas tayong dalawa at hindi ulit mangyari sa inyo ang nangyari noong nakaraan." saad ko na ikinangiti niya.

"You're a great, Claire. I don't want to lose you." saad nito at biglang tumigil ang kalesa.

"Narito na po tayo, mga binibini." saad ng lalaki kanina at binuksan ang pinto ng kalesa.

Unang lumabas sa Dahlia at sumunod na rin ako sa kanya. Tumambad sa amin ang isang napakalaking palasyo na napakaliwanag.

"Welcome to the Sunlight Kingdom." saad ni Dahlia sa tabi ko.

"Ang ganda." saad ko ng makita ang bawat pagkislap ng mga diamante na nasisinagan ng araw.

Puno ng palamuti ang buong palasyo at habang naglalakad kami papasok ay may nakatayong mga kawal sa gilid ng daan. Sa gitna ng hardin ay may nakatayong malaking estatwa ng isang babae.

"The the statue of goddess of light." saad ni Dahlia ng makita na nakatingin ako doon.

Napatango lang ako at ilang sandaling paglalakad ay nakarating kami sa loob ng palasyo. It is a huge hall with a high ceiling full of shining chandeliers. Two seats are located at the front center of the hall. The center part of the hall is empty like it is made for a dance floor for later. The room is decorated by white color from the curtains, table cloth, chairs, and even the flowers are white.

"Are we attending a birthday celebration or a wedding?" tanong ko sa kaibigan ko.

"White is the color that symbolizes purity and it is the color representing this kingdom." sagot nito.

"Oh its nice." saad ko.

"Lets take a seat." saad nito at iginiya ako papunta sa isang mesa na may dalawang upuan na malapit sa unahan.

"I'll introduce you to my parents later when they arrive." saad nito kaya napangiti na lang ako.

"Hey Dahlia, how are you?" rinig kong tanong mula sa likuran ko kaya napatingin kami rito.

There we saw the three princes and one princess walking to us. She wore a light green gown that look so good on her while the other three are wearing a suit base on the color of their kingdom which is red, blue and gold.

"I'm fine, your highness." sagot ni Dahlia at yumuko sa mga ito kaya napayuko na rin ako that made look at me.

"Oh hi Claire!" bati sa akin ng prinsesa.

"Lets take our seat. Everyone are here already." saad ni Prince William at pumunta sila sa isang mesa na malapit sa amin.

"Welcome everyone. Today is another day where we celebrate the eighteenth birthday of the princess of this home. Let us all welcome the king and queen with a round of applause." saad ng MC kaya tumayo kaming lahat at nakatingin sa nakasarang pintuan.

Dahan-dahan itong bumukas at pumasok ang isang mag-asawa. The queen wears a white gown with a little bit of gold same with the king and both are wearing a silver crown. Everyone they passed are bowing their heads and we also did the same when they passed by us.

The queen stares at me. Black meets gold, her eyes are so beautiful that made me feel my body shivers and my heart beats faster.
