16. dodds jr.

Sonny and Jocelyn were going to arrive at Amanda's baby shower late. The timing was a bit behind schedule for them both. They wanted to go together but with him seeing his mother in Staten island and then Jocelyn taking care of Pedro until Alex was done with work, it was until late afternoon when they finally found the time and gone together.

Sonny waited for Jocelyn to get ready, one thing about her as she had been in his life was that she says shes ready but really she just got out of bed and will need almost an hour to get ready. He sat on her couch, watching TV as she scrambled to find something to wear and do her makeup.

He hears the heels hit the wood floor, walking back and forth and then coming close. He turns to see Jocelyn wearing a nice light pink dress, long and flowy. She tucks her hair behind her ear as she gets her purse ready.

"Okay, im ready." She smiles and lets out a little breather. "Wait!" She runs back to grab the present. "Now i am."

"Lets go before Rollins doesn't let us in." They left the apartment and head over to the party. They both walked in, looking for Amanda with their gifts in hand. Olivia turned to see her two detectives arriving. She had to tell Jocelyn the news about the sargent position.

"Dont you look good." Fin said as he sees Jocelyn making her way to him. She raised her shoulders and smiles. "Its weird to see you out of work attire."

"Hey guys, thanks for you coming." Amanda says as she hugs Jocelyn and Sonny.

"Sorry we are late."

"Dont worry about it, you guys are here." Then an older woman walks up to Sonny, ignoring Jocelyn.

"And what is this charming young man?" She ran her hand over his arm.

"Sonny Carisi, ma'am." He shakes her hand Jocelyn bites on her lip, trying not to smile. "Can't forget Jocelyn Peña." Sonny steps away from the spotlight and now gives it to her. "A face that pretty can't be ignored." Jocelyn starts to turn red. In front of Rollins and Fin? He is bold. She elbowed him to pipe it down.

"Hi Ma'am, nice to meet you." She shakes her hand as well. As Rollins mom was focused on Carisi, Jocelyn and Rollins spoke on about where the gifts went and she heads to drop her off at the table.

"Jo, hi." Olivia comes from behind with Noah. Jocelyn smiles and squints.

"Hey!" And she looks at the baby. "Hi mister! Don't you look handsome today." She asked to carry Noah, Liv hands her the baby boy and was trying to put the words together for the detective in front of her. "You look way better than the guys i dated." Liv laughs with them.

"Hey, uh can i speak with you for a second?" Jocelyn doesn't stop smiling. She nods snd lets Liv carry on. "I have word on your possible spot for sargent and i want to say im sorry." Jocelyn's smile faded. But she was top, top 3, again. "Dodds, he wanted that his son to take the spot." Son? Oh of course he chose his son. Jocelyn rocks Noah, trying to not let this get to her. "I really am sorry Jo, i tried to let him realize how good you would be and he just-"
