21. jealously

Everyone in the office surrounded Amanda as she was stopping and had Jessie with her. Jocelyn claps her hands at the baby. My she loved them. How cute they are, but as soon as they start crying, she can give them back.

"Enjoy maternity Amanda. When my sister had to go back to work, it was the most wrenching thing." Sonny sits down as he tells her.

"Carisi, really?" Jocelyn frowns. "But can i ask? Can I hold her?" Amanda smiles as Jocelyn's voice softens.

"Eyes distance." She hands her Jessie. Jocelyn's face lights up, rocking the baby girl in her arms.

"She weighs nothing! Pedro, my baby nephew, hes like 2 times heavier, dont tell my sister in law." They laughed. "Aren't you the prettiest girl ever!" Sonny smiles to himself as he sees her with the baby in her arms. "Just to let you know, i am down to babysit her whenever you need it."

"Thanks Jo." Amanda nods with a smile. Sonny stands behind Jocelyn to get a better look at Jessie.

"Shes absolutely gorgeous! I want one." Jocelyn slips out without realizing.

"Carisi might take you on that offer." Finn jokes. Sonny nearly chokes on air as he heard Finn. Mike looks up at them. Not surprised.

"What?" Jocelyn comes back to reality. Finn chuckles. "No, seriously what?"

Rafael comes in, marching per usual, more like strutting but oh well. He has a coffee in one hand and a letter in one. He ignores his way with the men and goes straight to Jocelyn. Carisi didn't think of it really, New case, teenager boy and girl, she said he said. Its a mess. But to go to Jocelyn?

"Rafa." Jocelyn crosses her arms as she was about to sit down. "Livs not in yet."

"I know, i want something from you." He hands her the coffee cup. Jocelyn grabs it and raises a brow.

"Coffee from my favorite place, not the one you usually go to. It's serious then." She sets it down. Sonny looks from the printer, eyeing the two. "You need my hand in marriage so you can get your mother off your back?" He rolled his eyes. "Make an ex jealous?"

"I need a date to a gala im going, i rather not take my mother, but you are a choice." He hands her the letter with the ticket inside.

"You got me coffee to sweeten the deal." She plays around. "If i do say yes, whats in it for me?"

"Whatever you want." Her smile widens.

"Oh Rafa, you will regret that." He looks to see Sonny staring but immediately starts to do something to play it off. "I guess ill go. ONLY!" She puts the letter on her lips. "We match, make an entrance, wow the others."

"You are something else."

"My mom thinks the same but i turned out to be one the best children she ever had." She fluttered her eyes. "Is this a date?"

"No." He walks away from her as Liv walks in. She sees Sonny nodding his head slowly and leaving the printer. He hides away in the locker room, sitting there. For a woman that he doesn't have, she sure knows how to make a man jealous. Its not like shes trying to, its how she is. He cant get mad at her for it. Shes not his. It just rallies him up.
