TATUM ROSE RILEY considered herself to be one of the unluckiest people in the world.
Most of the time, she feels like shouldn't even be alive, and not in a suicidal way.
She just had a feeling the universe didn't want her to exist.
From being a week overdo (even fetus Tatum knew it was in her mom's womb than out in the real world), her mom never failed to mention it, to her being resuscitated at birth due from her not breathing for five minutes straight.
Not only was she named after her dead aunt; which meant she was destined for an eternity of doom and despair (with a dash of murder added in there), Tatum was also (unfortunately) born the same day her aunt was brutally murdered.
And that wasn't even the worst of coincidences.
The worst is being born at the exact time they estimated your aunt dying, 11:30 pm.
Then her parents had the not so bright idea of naming her after said dead aunt.
If you asked her it was just setting her up for failure. (or to be killed by some masked killer)
It didn't help that she was different from the rest of her peers.
Some of her unsettling tendencies raised some flags (the kitty incident when she was in kindergarten and various others) for her parents and teachers, which brought the onslaught of various doctors and therapists.
Then there was the fact that not one but both of her parents were survivors from the original Woodsboro murders, that unbeknownst to her put a big red target on her back.
Yeah. someone was definitely going to go after her.
Gale Riley — Gale Weathers didn't expect a multitude of things after the third spree of murders.
She didn't expect getting married to the love of her life after breaking up with him.
She didn't expect her career taking such a nosedive after choosing to settle down in Woodsboro, so that said love of her life could grow his career.
