TATUM STOOD THERE FROZEN LIKE A  STATUE, eyes locked onto Vince's corpse. She's never seen a real life dead body, sure she had surfed the dark web and seen dead body's there, but she wasn't prepared to see one in real life.

"Hon, you still with me." The bartender said, getting the blonde teen's attention as she cleaned the girl up. She'd been worried about the teen, the girl had been zoning in and out, it was starting to concern her, "You keep leavin' earth."

Tatum blinked a few times, forcing herself to look away from the body and over to the bartender standing in front of her, "Hmm, oh, yeah. Just haven't seen a dead body in real life."

"What's that supposed to mean Weathers?" An extra voice scared her, causing her to jump a few feet back.

Tatum looked to the side and saw Wes' mom, Judy. She rolled her eyes, hating the blonde woman because she knew the lady hated her mom but used to be in love with her dad.

"Tone it down, sheriff," the bartender said to Judy, "The girl's in shock."

"I doubt that," Judy muttered, although not low enough for Tatum's liking, "Stop cleaning her up, girl's a suspect now."

This was turning out to be a horrible night for Tatum.

Tatum threw her head back and groaned, "You're joking, right? I'm literally a hundred and eight pound girl, it's physically impossible for me to have killed him."

"You are literally red handed." Judy said, pointing to the blonde's bloody palms.

The blonde scoffed, "Because I wasn't looking where I was going, and blinded by lights before I tripped over him and fell."

  "Sound pretty convenient doesn't it."

Tatum could feel the anger bubbling and the smirk on Judy's face wasn't helping one bit, but punching the sheriff didn't seem like a good plan, she really didn't want assault against an officer added to her potential murder charge. Her mom would be proud if she did punch Judy, though.

The sheriff looked over the teen's body, checking to see if the blonde had any threatening injuries, it was hard to do so since the girl was caked in blood, "You have any injuries?"

She shrugged, "Maybe."

An ambulance came to a stop a few feet away from Vince's dead body, and seconds later, two paramedics jumped out. Judy called out to them, motioning that the man was dead.

"He's gone. We're gonna need the coroner here," she said before pointing over at the blonde teen, "Check her out."

The paramedics did as told.

Tatum watched the scene around her drastically change. It went from eerily quiet to blaring loud sirens and flashing police lights, and swarming with people.

"I don't think any of this blood is yours." One of the medics said as she wiped away at the girl's arms that were caked with dried blood.

The second medic was checking Tatum's vitals and sings of concussion, "No concussion or any other abnormalities, and her vitals look great."

"So no need to take her to the hospital?" Judy asked.

The medics shook their heads, "No. most of this blood isn't hers. It's the vitamins. She just had some scrapes on her palms."

"Perfect, I'll be taking her to the station."

"I want my phone call." Tatum demanded as Judy lead her to the patrol car.

They get to the police station and Judy immediately took the blonde over to a landline for her phone call.

Tatum stared at the device, she hadn't seen one in real life, only in old movies, "What are we in the nineties?"
