Bunker 9 had been abandoned with a lot of projects half finished on the tables. "They're all locked up and forgotten.. but why?" Thèrèse asked, her fingers grazing over something.

Leo looked around the rest of the room, his curiosity growing as he noticed more and more half-finished projects littering the area.

"I'm not sure why everything was abandoned like this, but it's obvious that there must've been some reason." Leo speculated. He then turned his attention back towards Thèrèse and shrugged his shoulders as he watched her run her fingers over the objects. He looked around the rest of the room, his curiosity growing as he noticed more and more half-finished projects littering the area.

Leo looked at a map on the wall, so did Thèrèse - a battle map of camp, but the paper was as cracked and yellow as onionskin. A date at the bottom read, 1864.

He had been observing the map when he noticed Thèrèse' gasp of surprise. The boy's eyes widened in disbelief when he read the date on the paper.

"1864," He blurted. "No way," The boy repeated slowly. "Did those ancient Greeks build this place or what?" Leo looked back towards Thèrèse, wondering if she had any idea of what had happened here.

"I had no idea." She muttered. Then, she spotted a blueprint on a nearby bulletin board, and her heart almost leaped out of her throat.

Leo's curiosity grew even more as he watched her expression. He didn't know what she saw, but her sudden reaction to the board made her look horrified. The boy leaned closer to the girl in order to get a better view of the blueprint she was looking at. He squinted his eyes to read the words on it.

They ran to the worktable and stared up at the white-line drawing almost faded beyond recognition: a Greek ship from several different angles. Prophecy? Unclear. Flight?

The girl looked on in disbelief at the blueprints. An ancient Greek ship? They looked just like the drawings and paintings she'd seen at the Museum in London.

Thèrèse' curiosity continued to grow as she studied the details of the ship, taking in every information she could glean from the blueprints. The girl had always been a fan of learning about ancient history and the myths that went with them, but she'd never thought she'd encounter anything like this so unexpectedly.

Leo's eyes narrowed in sudden realization as his hands tremblingly covered his mouth. The boy didn't believe it. It couldn't be possible. It was the exact same design of the ship he'd been seeing in his dreams.

The boy continued to watch the blueprint in front of him, trying to wrap his head around the fact that he might be seeing something he'd only ever thought was his imagination. The design was exactly the same.

And the weirdest of all, the ship's figurehead was exactly like the one Leo had drawn when he was five-the head of a dragon.

"Looks like you, Festus," he murmured. "That's creepy."

"Cool," Thèrèse breaths in awe.

He stared at Festus, his mind filled with so many different thoughts at once.

Thèrèse' calm reaction compared to Leo's sudden feeling of unease was rather amusing. But her positive attitude felt comforting to the boy, at least more so than his own negative thoughts.

Festus snorted like he was trying to get their attention, reminding them they didn't have all night. It was true. "I figured it would be morning in a few hours.." Thèrèse said. "We'd totally gotten completely sidetracked."

The sudden reminder of what time it probably was jolted Leo back into reality.

"We really shouldn't spend too much more of the night down here," He acknowledged, feeling slightly annoyed at himself for getting so caught up.

The boy's attention shifted towards Thèrèse, watching to see if she agreed.

Thèrèse tilted her head. They'd saved the dragon, but it wasn't going to help them on the quest. They needed something that would fly. "Do you think you could build him wings?" She wondered, grazing her fingers over Festus' metal surfaces.

Leo was about to brush off the idea when he stopped. He thought about the possibility she was presenting, and it might actually be a good one. If he could find the necessary parts and manage to figure out how to make the necessary adjustments, he could potentially build some wings for the dragon.

Thèrèse' touch seemed soft and gentle against the dragon, even though he was made of metal.

As if the dragon is thinking the same way as her, Festus nudged something toward them, directly at Leo-a leather tool belt that had been left next to his construction pad. Then the dragon switched on his glowing red eye beams and turned them toward the ceiling.

Thèrèse smiled softly at the dragon, before turning her attention back towards Leo.

His eyes widened as he noticed the tool belt that Festus had nudged over to him. It almost felt like the dragon was communicating with him through his actions, making him feel as though the dragon approved of the plan. The red eye beams of the dragon shifted upwards at the same moment the girl moved her focus back towards him.

Leo looked up to where the spotlights were pointing, and yelped when he recognised the shapes hanging above them in the darkness. He figured Thèrèse saw it too because she began to touch his arm with a jolt.

The boy looked up towards the ceiling as soon as Festus' eye beams shifted upwards. When he saw the same shapes that the girl was apparently seeing, he jumped with a startled yelp.

Thèrèse' touch on his arm caused Leo to glance back at her, looking at her with a shocked expression on his face as he tried to figure out what they were seeing.

"I'm with you." She told him. She doesn't know what the future holds for them but she definitely knows that she's not gonna leave him ever.

Leo's sudden jerk in surprise was quickly replaced with relief. The girl's touch as well as her words gave the boy a peaceful feeling inside.

The boy's expression slowly became one of determination, and he was already making preparations in his mind to make wings for the dragon. He understood the gravity of the situation and was ready to make do with whatever he could find.

"Festus," he said in a small voice. "We've got work to do."

"somewhere in
these eyes,"

"i'm on your side."
