you my girl?" Johnny asked as he played with the loose skin on his fingers that had come off from his constant anxiety. He had been thinking about the question more often than he'd had liked, Willow as well. Willow looked at him as he handed her his cigarette that was almost finished. She took a long drag, wanting to stall her answer as she thought about his question.
She knew her answer, only she was too scared to say it. She wasn't sure whether he wanted her to be his girl, whether he wanted her at all.
The both of them had been seeing each other for the past month or two— but even though they acted like a couple in private, cuddling, kissing, etc. in public they weren't sure how to act. They were so awkward around one another when around others that you'd think they had just met. Either way, they liked each other more than friends, that had been established. They were so
comfortable with one another to the point where Willow would let him come into her house whenever, whether she were home or not. Only catch was when she wasn't home, he'd have to sneak through her window and stay in her room. But besides that, her home was his."Do you want.. me to be?" Willow hesitated, fumbling with the cigarette bud in her hand before snuffing it out on the tray next to them that sat on Willow's window sill. Johnny opened his mouth, small stutters coming out before his mouth closed again.
"Course I do.." Johnny shrugged as if his answer had been obvious, "But.. I just don't wanna force you into something that you ain't ready for or comfortable with"
Willow smiled at him, grabbing his face and cupping his cheeks before passionately kissing him, his lips immediately latching onto hers. After a few seconds the two of them pulled away, faces still close as they stared into each others eyes. "I'll be your girl.." She whispered against his soft lips. Johnny raised his eyebrows, almost in shock as if he hadn't just admitted that he wanted her to be his.
"Really?" Johnny asked, smiling from ear to ear. Willow nodded with excitement, giggling as she pecked his lips. Johnny immediately tackled her onto the bed, kissing all over her face in happiness before they both calmed from their laughter. Willow stroked the stray hairs from Johnny's face as he hovered over her. "Are you sure you're okay with me staying here with you?"
"What's mine is yours."

As Willow and Johnny walked down the streets of Tulsa, hand in hand, they held huge grins on their faces. They hadn't been happy in a long time, and now,
they finally were. They could rely on one another without having to exchange the very idea of it, they just knew. That's what a relationship was, at least to them. Trust, honesty, and support— that's what they valued most.Johnny and Willow had been spending so much time together that they wouldn't see any of their friends for days at a time. They didn't need anybody else, only each other. They were best friends as well as lovers, and that was the perfect relationship to have. Every conversation was filled with laughter, something they couldn't get with other people. And whenever Johnny would come back to his gang from his short hiatus with Willow, they noticed something different with him. He was slightly more talkative than usual, and whenever he would stare off into space, he would have a grin plastered on his tan face.
"Who's the girl Johnnycake?" Two-Bit would always joke, and Johnny would always shrug it off and tell him to quit it. Willow however, was not so quiet about it to her friends.
"Have you two.. yknow?" Rey asked as she sat on her bed, Leah painting Willow's nails on the waxed wooden floor.
"God no, he isn't ready for that I don't think. I'm not either."
"So you two haven't even talked about the idea of it?" Leah questioned, stopping her light stroking movements with the red nail polish that was being painted onto Willow's delicate and elegant fingers. "I knew he was shy but I didn't think he was that shy, or even immature."
"He isn't immature, he's actually very mature for his age.. both of us are. And he's not shy, at least not when he's around me. He's like a different person. He talks a lot more and is more energetic and open, unlike when he's around others." Willow explained, smiling as she described him, something the girls took mental note of. "But no, we haven't talked about the idea of it. I mean, we just got together guys. Cut us some slack."
"A month isn't very recent if you ask me." Leah mumbled, causing Willow to roll her eyes and scoff.
"We've only ever made out like 5 times. And when we do he's always soft and slow, touching me like i'm glass."
"Is he a good kisser at least?" Rey asked as she moved to sit down next to Willow on the floor, studying her fingers and watching as Leah painted them with the beautiful red, glossy polish that complimented Willow's skin tone.
"Yeah, he is actually. And he's good when we use tongue too." Willow blushed, giggling like a young girl at the thought.
"Ah.. tongue eh?" Rey smirked, elbowing Willow lightly as Leah laughed. "You know what they say with a guy who's good with his tongue?" Leah added before flicking her tongue, Rey doing the same to taunt their friend.
"Ha-Ha" Willow said sarcastically before blowing on her fingernails, getting up and lying down on Rey's plaid red bedsheets.
"Seriously though, I think you two should talk about it. Communication is key as I always say." Rey told her, lying down next to her, the bed bouncing slightly as Willow looked at her confused.
"When have you ever said that" Willow scoffed, Leah now laying down on her stomach at the foot of the bed. Leah laughed, taking the packet of cigarettes from the window sill, handing one to each of the girls as they all popped it in their mouths and passed the lighter around. The room filled with smoke and the smell of tobacco, their noses burning slightly as well as their throats.
Leah opened the window, sitting on the armchair that sat beside it and puffed the hot smoke outside as to avoid fogging up the room as much. "Rey is right" Leah finally said, looking over at the girls on the bed. "You two have to talk about it at some point."
"He's probably a virgin anyway. Shit, I wonder if he even knows what sex is" Rey joked, Willow immediately smacking her arm, Rey letting out a yelp and a laugh.
"He's not an idiot, and he's not 5. He knows what sex is, he makes dirty jokes all the time anyway." Willow explained, mumbling the last part almost in shame.
"Oh yeah? like what" Rey sat up, all of a sudden more intrigued than before. Willow took a long drag, thinking for a moment and looking back at recent memories of their times together.
"I have one but it's really bad" Willow smiled, the girls tuning in and giving her a "just say it" look. Willow sighed deeply, taking a moment to think about what to say. "Okay so.. I went to the bathroom when we went out to eat at the Dingo. I was washing my hands when the faucet all of a sudden sprayed out, soaking my shirt a little bit. I came back out and Johnny asked what happened and why I was wet. I told him I made the sink squirt water on accident and.." Willow hesitated, "I swear he mumbled "that's not the only thing your gonna make squirt"
The room went silent, the only thing being heard were the birds outside in the trees. The girls all burst into laughter, coughing on the smoke of their cigarettes, tears rushing from their eyes. "Y-You're kidding!" Rey exclaimed, still in a fit of laughter.
"I swear I heard it! I could be imagining things but.." Willow shrugged, the girls laughter dying down a bit.
"Well.. I guess he is mature after all" Rey laughed.
