clothes off of her rack and into a pile on the floor. She had to look perfect for Johnny, especially if she wanted to attract him even further. So what better way to do that then find as many options as possible and try them all on. Even though the date was at 8, Willow started getting ready at 4. She had to look perfect for him, not one single flaw. She needed every single blemish on her face to be gone and every ounce of fat on her body to be covered.
She wasn't sure whether she wanted to cover up or show more. She wanted to look attractive, but not so revealing. She wanted something that made her body look good, but not showed every crevice of it. It was an internal battle for her, and the more she thought about it, the more stressful it got.
The overwhelming urge to call Johnny up and tell him that he couldn't make it was unbearable, but she had to pull through. She liked Johnny more than anything, and for the first time since middle school, she was believing in love again. Unfortunately, her parents had taken that narrative away from her at a very young age. But now, seeing Johnny, made her feel as if the world was filled with nothing but love.
"No, no, no-" She whispered under her breath after ever hanger she pushed back on her rack. Eventually she closed her closet doors and skimmed through the pile of clothes on the floor. After about an hour of throwing clothes off and trying new ones, she decided on a plaid white and red dress that was laced at the bottom and perfectly showed off her thighs, cutting off at just the right length.
She let her hair down, not bothering to do anything with it as she thought that it would add to the look. She added a light layer of blush to her cheeks, adding mascara and the thinnest layer of eyeliner before smiling at her reflection. For the first time in a while she felt.. pretty. Confident even.
She looked at the clock, not even realising just how much time had passed. She quickly grabbed a red leather jacket, slouching it over her shoulders and grabbing her roller skates before making her way downstairs.
"Where are you going?" Her mother groaned, her words slurring as she was clearly drunk, the wine bottle next to her empty.
"I have a date" Willow stated blankly, not wanting to give her mother the time of day. Her mother laughed to herself.
