new or old friends?

Jay sat on the floor with his back to Cole. both of them laughing, Cole smiled and mumbled under his breath, "still the same jokester as always i see" Jay smiled at him, he got up and helped Cole up, "we should probably get some help, i don't think dying from blood loss is the best death" Jay joked. "i have some bandages, come here" Cole softly grabbed jays hand and pulled him to a nearby tree. they sat down and Cole wrapped the bandage around Jays arms, "thanks" Jay said smiling "no problem" Cole responded as he tended to his own wounds with some of Jays help, "what... made that happen anyway?" Jay asked tilting his head to the side as his hair brushed his cheeks.

"i-... i'm not sure" the raven head answered, sighing. "well... the good thing is that were not dead" Jay said smiling as he lay on the grass. "also... why are you so convinced i'm someone you know? i'm sorry to let you down but i've never met you in my life" Jay said looking at him sadly. "listen, i know your gonna think i'm crazy but you have met me. i don't know how you forgot or lost your memories, but... " he sighed before continuing. "you're my best friend, you were- are a part of the ninja. you always were always will be"

jay looked at him, his mouth opened but no words came out. he closed it and turned his head to look at the ground. his mind was swirling with questions. but he managed to say one thing "if i'm part of the... "ninja" why... why was i all alone? why was i alone in administration?" Jay said tears forming in his eyes. soon the words came tumbling out before he could stop them

"then why did you leave?! why did you never come to find me?! was i not important? that's it wasn't it?! i was not important?! i was just a wast of space-" before Jay could continue Cole had wrapped his arms around Jay and hugged him tight. Jay felt tears on his shoulder. soon Jay felt some fall to his face as well, "i did. i worried, every day every night. we got separated because of the merge. where all the realms clashed together, everyone got separated. i-.." Cole choked back a son and continued "i thought i lost you" he sniffed.

"i-..." Jay said not knowing what to say, his hands were shaking. tears falling, mind spinning, and most importantly...

memories slowly returning

don't worry, in the next chapter Jay will get hit in the head. heheh well! hope you liked this chapter! school starts soon for me, so i probably will get most of my chapters out by the weekend. don't expect chapters on Mondays or a lot of the school days. but i will try my hardest to make the chapters longer so that i'm not unbalanced. ill see you later my girls gals and non binary pals!
