Saphir had announced that they had an hour before the next test would begin, at this point Jay couldn't care less, all he wanted was it to be over so he could get the hell out of there. he found a place to sit down and he did, he pulled his legs closer to his chest and sighed. At this point his emotions just started to go numb, generally numb. but as i said before he couldn't care less, soon Jay heard footsteps, they didn't need to be a detective to know who was walking over. "go away Cole i don't wanna talk to you" Jay snapped not even looking at him "Jay please-" "no" "Jay come on you're being stubborn" "well to bad"

Cole sighed as he sat down next to Jay "listen, i wont be long i just wanted to make sure you were ok" "well i'm perfectly fine so you can go now" Jay muttered as he turned his head away "no your not, i know when your angry and i think it's pretty clear to everyone here" Cole said his tone sad. "Oh well i'm soo sorry i can't pretend to be happy!" Jay scoffed "can you at least tell me if i did something wrong?"  that did it, something in Jay just snapped. He scrambled up and gave Cole one last withering glare before walking off.

Cole was left speechless as he watched Jay walk off in a rage, he had never seen his best friend that angry. He wanted to run after him but Cole knew that would just make a bad situation worse, so he got up and walked to Saphir. "Hey Saphir..." "i'm guessing the talk didn't go well?" "no" Cole sighed letting his head hang. "are you sure theres nothing you have said to him that maybe hit a nerve before?" Cole let his mind drift through his memories, the only thing that came to mind was the fight they had for Nya, he had already thought that was the answer but to him it didn't fit right. Something was missing, something important. but he couldn't quite place his finger on it, he shook his head and sighed "i-... i don't know, i mean i kinda do but at the same time i don't?" Saphir nodded "we have to get moving to the next test, i'm sorry but we must get going theres no time to lose-" Saphir was cut short by a large rumble throughout the cave. both of them tumbled as they tried to steady themselves. "what is going on?!" Cole called out "looks like another earth quake!" Saphir yelled over the noise. And just like that it was over, Cole turned to Saphir for an explanation. "we've been getting that  since the cave started dying" Saphir explained.

"i think it's about time Jay needs to go to the final test" Saphir said looking around to make sure everyone was ok. A sting of gilt flashed across Cole's face, but he covered it up quickly. "yeah, do mind if i-... go and get him?" Cole asked awkwardly "if that is what you want then be my guest" 

Cole nodded then turned around and ran off to find Jay, he found him laying on a wall a bit far off of the others. "hey Jay- um... Saphir wanted me to tell you that the test is starting" he said not knowing what else to say, "thanks" Jay responded getting up. there was a bit of reluctance in his voice but Cole decided not to push the subject.

the two walked in silence, awkward silence, but nobody wanted to break it. Jay kicked a rock across the floor as Cole just stared awkwardly at the floor, finally Saphir met them with a smile. He motioned them to follow him, the two plus a guard walked behind him. they reached a stone wall, Saphir reached out to it. when he touched it the stone slid out of the way and Spjir walked ahead. 

Jay and Cole walked in after him, but the guards stayed out. "this would be the last test, you must be wondering why were all inside of it" Saphir smiled, a look of shock crashed over Jays face. "don't tell me-" "there must be two people here to complete the test" Jay looked away as Cole awkwardly stood there not sure what to do. "if it means finishing this test and saving the caves i'll do it" Jay said still not looking at anyone. "perfect, i'll take my leave now" Saphir said, 10 seconds later the two boys were alone. "so what do you think the test i'll be?" Cole said breaking the silence "i don't-"
