As Jay and Cole sat around the small campfire they made Cole thought of everything that Jay had told him, he was worried, even Jay couldn't remember how he got to administration. he felt his hand ball up in frustration. "it's getting late, we should get some sleep" Cole said getting up i'm not tired yet, go ahead i'll be there in a minute "Jay responded, Cole nodded and walked over the the cave he had made and laid down, Jay stayed next to the fire that was getting smaller and smaller with each passing moment. Jay let out a shaky breath as he played the conversation he and Cole had just had, he covered his face with his hands and buried his face in his knees. his brown hair was pushed back a bit by the wind, he felt completely lost, he had no idea what happened to him his childhood his life before administration how he even GOT to administration! it was a total punch in the gut.

his thoughts continued to rage on as the night passed, bit by bit Jay got fed up with this and got up to where Cole was, he laid down next to him and closed his eyes in an attempt to drift off to sleep. Cole noticed Jay  lay down, he felt the need to say something but the words were caught in his throat he reached out his hand but pulled back. he bit his tongue and looked away, "hey Cole?" "hmm?" Cole hummed back "i'm glad you found me" Jay said smiling at him 

"me too blue bell, me too"

and with that they both fell asleep.

hours had passed since then and light was pouring from the little spaces on the leaves from the trees. the light hit Jays face and he scrunched up in annoyance, he put a hand up to block the light but it was useless, so Jay got up against his will and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. he turned to the right and saw Cole still sleeping, Jay's usual mischievous grin got plastered on his face. he sighed and knelt next to Cole, "hey. wake. up. wake. up" Jay said flopping his hand half softly on Cole. Cole grunted as he squinted in the sunlight as he tried to adjust to what was going on, "morning bolder brain" Jay said smiling down at him "hey Zap trap" Cole said getting up, Cole ruffled Jays hair as he walked pass

Jay smiled as he fixed his hair, thats when he remembered the path. and realization hit him like a brick, he had no idea how to make the path reappear! he sighed but wiped the worry off his face. he took out the compass out and opened it, the map jumped into form and it looked about the same, the only difference was that the other signs had moves just like he and Cole had. he thought of how to bring the path back, the last time it had happened on it's own, but he didn't know why it had happened then, "maybe some weird connection?" Jay muttered to himself. he put his hand out to touch the caves of lightning and as he did the map swirled around his hand until he felt electricity pulsing in his veins.His hand glowed blue and he pulled it away, the map dissolved and his hand burned, he looked at it and his old scars looked fresh. Then he got an idea, he knelt down and put his hand to the ground he closed his eyes and concentrated he felt the electricity leaving him as well as some of energy. he got up and saw the path had returned "i have no idea how you managed to do that but good job motor mouth" Cole said next to him, Jay jumped in surprise, he had not heard Cole at all. "uh yeah thanks!" Jay said grinning at Cole

"so i guess we don't have anything else to do except to follow it?" "Jay, we are in the middle of the woods, obviously we don't have anything to do!" Cole sighed "right!" Jay grinned and walked to the path, "let's go!" he said as he quickly followed the path. Cole smiled and walked behind him, the two boys walked peacefully down the trail, birds flew above as other animals ran by or sat on the low hanging branches to take a better look at incoming visitors. birds chirped, squirrels scurried and other animals watched in the shadows, the brunette and raven head passed by. Jay was talking and Cole was calmly listening, soon Cole joined in and they talked about video games for a couple of hours until they stumbled into a small town, "woah, look at this place!" Jay said pointing at the town. and he was right, the town was not normal it was built on a huge lake, the houses stores and everything was built on top of the water. lanterns illuminated the walkways as Cole and Jay jumped onto the dock that lead to the town, they walked along the stores, they found a small store and bought some snacks. they both gobbled down the food in less than 2 minutes, "either i was starving or that was some of the best snacks i have ever had" Jay said sitting down next to the water, his legs dangling above the smooth surface of the lake.

Cole was next to him, he smiled and nodded. he rested his hand on the dock and looked into the woods that they had been in earlier that day, he felt the vibrations in the earth all of the footsteps and noises around them. Jay turned to look at him, he put a hand to his shoulder and smiled "you alright?" he asked bits of concern in his voice, Cole put a hand on his and nodded "i'm alright, just got some stuff on my mind" "mmh" Jay hummed in agreement, they both sat in silence for a while. Jay looked down at the water for a moment and saw that same orange face he had saw in his nightmares, he flinched and closed his eyes, Cole noticed and sent him a worried look. Jay brushed it off, he looked up and blinked back tears, he looked at the water again and saw his own broken figure. the moon above with the stars, he reached out to the water and touched it, his face got blurred away into ripples in the water, he pulled his hand back and frowned. "do you remember her?" Cole asked,Jay snapped into reality as he turned to look at Cole."who?" "Nya" "i-... i don't think so, i really don't-..." "it's alright i just saw you looking at the water and you seamed a bit nervous" "why would i think of her when i look at water?" "Nya is the elemental master of water, so i guess that's why, you guys were together" "were?" "i mean i guess technically you still are, she's your yang" "now i just feel stupid, why can't i remember anything?!!" Jay sighed as he covered his face, his breathing got heavy and his eyes watery. he covered his face with his hands in an attempt to not cry, Cole saw and frowned he rapped his arm around Jay and brought him close. "god, i'm such a cry baby i'm sorry" Jay said wiping away tears "nah, it's ok, everyone needs to let it out once in a while. nobody is going to judge you" Cole said smiling "t-thanks bolder brain" Jay stammered gratefully
