Present Day
Emilia was currently in the studio with Nicole and her producer working on some songs for her album. She already had the theme and concept in mind and she couldn't wait.
They were currently on their lunch break , the two best friends enjoyed a nice lunch outside taking in the beautiful weather of Puerto Rico which is where they currently were. It was hard coming back to Puerto Rico , when Emilia thought she had forgotten Benito stepping back onto the island was just a reminder of it all. In truth, nothing or anyone could ever erase him. There was not a day where she did not think about him. Deep inside she was regretting what she did but , would they have made through all these years ? What about their fame ?
As they ate the two scrolled on their phones, they were convinced they were tired of looking at each other's faces all the time. As Emilia was on her phone an old memory of her and Benito popped up, tears began to roll down her cheeks uncontrollably, Nicole already knew.
" Emilia just talk to him. See what he's got going on in his life. After all these years you can't forget him. You've spent all this time thinking about him and time is moving fast." Nicole suggested.
It's true she spent most of her time thinking about him and she was still single. It was almost as if she couldn't live without him. Well not almost that was the case , she didn't want life without him. That is the love of her life and it's now that she's realizing it.
" fine I'll do it but , later." Emilia said as Nicole clapped her hands.
The two continued to enjoy their lunch before it was time to go back into the studio.

Emilia and Nicole were in their shared home in Puerto Rico. The two sat on the couch as Emilia was about to take a big step after so many years. She was finally going to unblock Benito.
" What if he still has me blocked ?" Emilia asked
" Well we won't know until you unblock him." Nicole laughed as Emilia rolled her eyes.
The girl nervously clicked the unblock button for Benito on each platform possible. Sure enough , he had unblocked her but, since she had him blocked he couldn't follow her. He didn't have much posts but the ones he had were enough. He looked good , he has changed so much. It made her heart skip a beat seeing him. Emilia wasn't up to date on his looks and any social media drama but , she had heard some of his songs. It was hard to stay away from them especially when he's a global sensation and you live in PR.
She didn't think about it twice and hit the follow button. She then clicked on message and sent him a DM. All she wrote was hi, short and simple. Besides she did not know what else to say. She hasn't spoken to him in years , it's sort of like she doesn't know him.
" I sent him a DM." Emilia said nervously as she panicked and threw her phone at Nicole.
" He looks good doesn't he?" Nicole asked with a smirk.
" He always has." Emilia whispered thinking once again about the past.

Benito was hanging out with Raul in his house in LA when he got the notification that Emilia had followed him.
" Emilia me desbloqueo y me siguió." Benito said randomly.
" en serio cabrón?" Raúl asked in shock as Benito nodded.
Benito didn't even want to go through her account and see a thing. As he turned off his phone he got another notification , this time it was a DM from Emilia.
" She sent me a message." Benito said
" Are you answering?" Raul asked.
" nah." The singer replied.
After all these years why now , Benito thought to himself. He honestly didn't want to talk to her , the only reason why he had her unblocked was because in case of something in the future in his career or something he did not want to look bad.
Benito just deleted her message and once again turned off his phone.
