Ceilings- AJxNiko

Part 13

Living in a big house had its perks. Being with your friends all the time, but being able to be alone when you wanted to. Having work offices by your bedroom, so you didn't need too change to get out for technical duties, and being able to have Karaoke nights without noise complaints from the neighbours.

Chunkz had suggested the boys do some Karaoke, why? Firstly because it's fun, Secondly, because he wanted Aj to show the other boys his music. He knew he'd have to slyly get Aj to do it, but how was the bigger struggle.

Aj was dreading this. Yes he loved to sing and have fun with his friends, but he knew what Chunkz wanted from this. and he would try not to as much as he could. Him and Niko had been fine recently. They were back to normal, well as normal as their friendship was.

The boys had also invited Darkest as they hadn't seen him in a while. Aj wouldn't mind sharing his song with Darkest if he was showing the other boys as, as dumb as Darkest was sometimes, he was actually quite knowledgeable.

Everything was set up, Ajs laptop connected to the screen, and two microphones turned on. They had more, if they needed they could easily plug them in, but for now 2 was fine.

"Ok so whos going first," Kenny asks.

"I'll go," Chunkz offers, "But let me duet with someone, just to get started."

"I'll join you," Sharky offers.

They sing an adele song beautifully, their voices synchronised perfectly. The other boys all sing songs, duets and solos. They all laugh at Nikos horrendous singing, and join in to iconic choruses. Well, all the boys had sung except Aj. Yes, he joined in in group songs, and jokingly yelled out lyrics in duets but genuinely singing? He was scared. He knew what would happen if he genuinely did, and he wasn't ready for that.

After an  hour or two of singing, Chunkz believed it was time for Aj to reveal his talent. He sits beside Aj, whilst Kenny and Niko are singing a duet, and whispers, "Come on Aje, its now or never. I'm not forcing you to do anything, but I really think you should."

Aj nods, "Yeah. I want to Amin, but I'm scared. You're the only person who's ever heard my music, and I don't know how he's going to react."

"No one's forcing you to do anything Ley, but I think it'll be good for you. You won't have to worry as much anymore,"

Aj looks up at  Niko, he's singing his heart out, laughing and having fun with kenny. He looks so beautiful standing there, teeth showing. Man, how did he get so lucky. He was perfection. And AJ, is just, Aj. 

"Ok." Aj says, reluctantly, realising Chunkz was right. If anything, he should play the song and make up some excuse. 

As the song  Niko and Kenny were singing comes to an end, Aj stands up. He looks around nervously. Its fine. He thought, They're my friends. Its just my friends. 

"Uhm so, you guys uh know I've release music before, and Uhm." His mouth is sticky, he feels sick. he can't believe he's going to do this. 

"Well, I wrote a new song. Its uhm not the same as the other ones, very much a, a different style. So please, tell me what you think, it uhm means a lot to me personally and Yeah." Aj laughs nervously before heading to his laptop that's plugged into the speaker, finds the file and presses play. The boys clap, giving him support as they can see how nervous he was. He goes to sit down next to Chunkz, in a position he can see Niko without directly staring at him.
