Feraye arrived home weary, to say the least. All she wanted to do was sleep. She made her way to her room, only to discover her self-centered step wandering through her closet. She was going to ignore her, but something piqued her interest. Aleyna was dressed in one of her outfits, not just any dress; Yaman had given her this dress as a gift. She wore this dress on their first night together.

"What are you doing?" She sought it out, trying her best not to sound upset, which she failed at.

"Why are you wearing my dress?" she asked. Aleyna was taken aback by the sound of her voice, but she proceeded to do whatever she was doing. "You startled me, feraye," she answered. "You didn't respond to my question, Aleyna. "Why are you wearing my dress?" -"oh! Feraye, you are just on time. Aleyna has a date with Yaman, and she wants your help getting ready." Cemile responded with a facetious smile.

Her world was filled with anxiety as she questioned why her lover was going on a date with her step sister. Her knees felt so weak that she wondered how she was still standing. She needed to speak with Yaman as soon as she possibly could about what was happening.

"Don't you just stand there?" Come help me with my makeup. "I do not want to be late, Feraye."

"But it's so late; where would you guys be going at this hour?" She was surprised that she was able to ask; she was genuinely curious. No, she needed to understand what was going on.

"Yaman told me to get ready and meet him at the..." She was interrupted by her mother, who entered the room.

"Yaman is going to propose to your sister tonight in front of the entire Gulsoy family."

Her feet gave up, and she was on the floor before she realized it. She couldn't believe her ears; what was going on? What did she mean by that? Why would Yaman propose to Aleyna if he was her boyfriend? They've been together for years and have loved each other more than anything. He always told her how much he loved her and couldn't live without her. Was this a lie?

She hated how vulnerable she was right now, how weak she felt, and she couldn't stop herself from crying.
"You could at least pretend to be happy for me Feraye; it's not my fault your life is a failure," Aleyna added before leaving the room.

Feraye couldn't stop thinking about it; had she done anything whatsoever? Was Yaman unhappy with her, or was he just using her to get to her stepsister? Was he forced to do this? How could he possibly agree to this? Did he lie when he claimed he loved her? Did their first night together not mean anything to him? Did he really take advantage of her and never have any feelings for her? Was he going to admit it to her, at least? Did he even think about her? There are so many unanswered question.

Feraye didn't comprehend what was going on, and she couldn't think of a plausible reason for Yaman to betray her. The man she had loved her entire life abandoned her without explanation, and her mind was racing. How could Yaman do this to her, to their love? They were so happy—or so she thought.

Feraye and Yaman used to plan their weddings for fun. Feraye had always wanted to marry him; no matter how long she had to wait, she didn't mind, but now here she was serving food and drinks to the guests of his wedding proposal to someone else, someone who wasn't her...
