DEVENEY
I knew this day would eventually come. I had NO idea that it would be tonight. As I stood there beside Tyree staring out at the person who had single-handedly ruined my marriage and my entire life, I was bewildered. I was bewildered at how attractive this man truly was. Pictures didn't do him justice. He wasn't one of those effeminate queens that you see like "Jack" on WILL & GRACE. He appeared to be a man in every sense of the word. I had to compose myself as he stared in complete confusion at me. His hand was extended to me. I slowly shook his hand and then pulled back.
"Hello, it's so nice to finally meet you," I smiled, fighting my disdain.
He smiled back. "I would say the same, but I don't quite know who you are."
"Well, Jaycen, allow me to introduce you. This is my--"
"...WIFE, Deveney Dixon," I said quickly, as Tyree glared at me and then back at Jaycen. "If you'll look close enough, I am sure you would recognize me."
"Now, that you mention it, I do," Jaycen sighed. "You're the model EX-wife," he smirked at me, before turning his attention to Tyree. "If you're busy, I could come back."
"Oh, no, of course not," Tyree exclaimed. "Deveney and I were just going to have some dinner. Would you like join us? There is more than enough."
Jaycen looked at me and then back at Tyree.
"I really don't want to intrude, Ty," he half-smiled. "And, I think that your...Deveney has a lot more planned then just dinner."
Tyree scoffed, "Don't be ridiculous, come on in," he smiled at Jaycen as he closed the door behind him. "Dinner is served," he said as he and Jaycen turned and headed towards the dining room area. "Deveney, are you coming?"
"I'll be there in a minute, darling," I smiled at him, until he turned his back and my smile turned into a scowl. "Oh, this little bitch just thinks he can waltz into MY home and take my man? We will just see about that."
I threw my long hair over my shoulder and pranced myself towards the dining room to claim my man. There was no way in hell Jaycen was going to win this time.
