───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────Sunghoon's grip on Sunoo's wrist was tight and unyielding, his eyes glaring down at him with a fierce intensity. Sunoo was all too familiar with this look—a warning to back down and stay in line. But underneath the anger, he could feel a tension brewing that stirred something within him he couldn't quite place.
Without a word, Sunghoon suddenly released Sunoo's wrist and turned away, his body radiating frustration. Sunoo watched him go, irritation bubbling beneath the surface. He placed his hands on his hips, muttering a curse under his breath. But then, something snapped inside him. With a swift motion, he grabbed the back of Sunghoon's hoodie and yanked him back, causing him to stumble slightly.
"Why do you keep doing things for me if you hate me so much?" Sunoo demanded, his voice thick with irritation.
Sunghoon's gaze flickered away, his jaw clenched. The silence stretched, thick with unspoken words. Sunoo could see the frustration simmering beneath Sunghoon's tough exterior, and for a brief moment, he wondered if there was more to him than just the icy demeanor.
"Why?" Sunoo pressed, his voice rising. "Just a few weeks ago, everything was fine. Now you're making my life so much harder than it needs to be!" He pushed Sunghoon again, not with real force but with the weight of his frustration.
Sunghoon didn't stand up. Instead, he leaned back against the wall, his defiance mingling with something softer. "I told you to stay away from me," he replied, but the words lacked conviction.
Sunoo took a step closer, curiosity sparking beneath his anger. "That's not a real favor," he said, choosing to sit next to Sunghoon on the floor. He found himself wanting to understand what lay behind Sunghoon's walls, even if he didn't want to admit it.
Sunghoon turned his head away, the hoodie pulled tight around his face. "What does a favor look like for you?" he asked, still avoiding eye contact.
Sunoo shrugged, trying to keep things light even as his heart raced. "If you look at me, I'll tell you." He met Sunghoon's gaze, challenging him with a playful yet serious look.
Sunghoon cleared his throat and stood up, brushing off his pants. "Then I don't want to know," he shot back, beginning to walk away. But Sunoo, driven by impulse, shot up and grabbed his wrist. Sunghoon flinched at the sudden contact but didn't pull away completely.
Sunoo rummaged through his pocket and pulled out a pen, feeling a rush of courage. He quickly scribbled down his number on Sunghoon's palm, their skin brushing together in a way that sent a strange thrill through him. "What are you doing?" Sunghoon asked, pulling his hand back, confusion and a hint of surprise flickering across his face.
"Contact me when you want to know," Sunoo said with a small smile, feeling emboldened by the moment. He sensed the tension shifting, if only slightly. Sunghoon hesitated, glancing at the ink on his palm and then back at Sunoo, an unexpected softness in his expression.
"I don't want to know," Sunghoon replied, but there was less bite in his tone, a subtle sign that maybe, just maybe, he was beginning to reconsider.
Sunoo stood with his arms crossed, feigning annoyance but feeling a warm glow at the small victory. "I was only trying to help your heartless soul!" he muttered, half-joking, but his heart raced with the thought of breaking through Sunghoon's tough exterior.
