CHAPTER - 18

JOSHUA POV-

Joshua couldn't sleep with all the thoughts going on in his head. It was late in the morning but Joshua didn't felt like leaving bed. He felt tired and worn out due to everything. His phone buzzed making him groan. He picked the phone but hearing a statement from other side he became anxious.

'Chanyeol is going to handle this case.'

Joshua woke up from the bed silently ending the call of Dino. He felt the sudden surge of anger coursing through his veins thinking about Chanyeol getting involved in the case. He hated the fact that you were involved in this case as well. The way Chanyeol behaved with you last time made his blood boil. Joshua couldn't help but think about the worst scenario.

He woke up and got ready for the day. Jia woke up as usual, her eyes searched for Isabella. Joshua's heart hurted looking at his daughter desparate for her mother.

"Where is Mama?" Jia asked playfully loud holding Joshua's cheek in her small hand to make him look at her. Joshua smiled looking at her focusing away from her school tie. He took her in his arms lifting her off from the bed. He sat on bed with Jia.

"Mama is gone for some important work, sweetheart." He said looking at his daughter fondly.

"When she'll come back?" Jia asked with sad eyes. Joshua didn't said anything and started putting fresh pair of socks on Jia's foot.

"It's so boaring without you and Mama. No one plays with me. When she'll come back?" Jia again asked.

"Don't know, baby. But Papa will always be on your side from now on." Joshua patted Jia's head with sweet smile looking at her face as Jia's eyes turned into cresent moon shape due to smiling.

Joshua sent Jia in her school bus and drove to police station. He talked with Dino and Officer Oh regarding case. Joshua wasn't going to fight the case from both the parties as he himself was one the minor suspect. He tried to talk with Chanyeol to not involve you yet in the case, but Chanyeol wasn't going to listen. Joshua knew this thing yet he tried his best. The atmosphere tensed as the discussion continued in Chanyeol's cabin. Joshua was on verge of losing control as Chanyeol wasn't even trying to listen what he was saying. Joshua turned around to follow Chanyeol's confused gaze staring at someone. His eyes stopped on you. He tried keeping his cool throughout the conversation as you and Chanyeol continued. He became anxious when Chanyeol ordered to put you in police cell. Dino was really helpful as he insisted on taking you to cell.

Joshua was becoming impatient with each passing moment thinking about you being locked up in police custody. Shock after shock kept coming as he saw Jung kook arriving in police station to help you. He came fully prepared along with famous lawyer Cha Eunwoo to handle your case. Lawyer Cha was Joshua's friend and was really good lawyer. Joshua felt relieved to know that Lawyer Cha was going to handle your case. But at the same time he felt jealous to see Jung kook protecting you. He clearly was jealous when you clang onto Jung kook. He kept ignoring this emotion for long time but it was unable hold back anymore, he hated seeing you with any other man. You were meant to protected by him, ruined by him but someone else was protecting you right now and probably ruining you too.

When you were going with Jung kook, Joshua badly wanted to snatch you away from him and take you with him. When Chanyeol again asked some stupid question and Jung kook revealed you as his fiancée, Joshua felt both surprised and hurt. He didn't expected that you'll move on this fast. The murmurs of officers in background were quite silent but Joshua caught every word of it.

'Both the Jeon brothers are something. They like girls who are murderer.'

'This was unexpected, as she's soon to be Mrs. Jeon we need to handle this case carefully.'

Y/N POV -

You got into car with Jung kook, finally breathing in relief. You closed your eyes leaning on your seat. Jung kook fastened your seatbelt and started driving. You opened your eyes when the car came to halt.

"You need to stay in Seoul until the case is resolved. Let's buy some essentials for you and then head to home." Jung kook said looking at you. You smiled softly looking at him. Jung kook exited the car and opened the door for you. You stared at the skyscraper in front of you. The building owned by Kim groups, it was one of the huge and luxurious mall in Korea. You remembered that Jung kook was friends with the three Kim brothers. Jung kook guided you inside keeping his hand on the small of your back. Jung kook took you on shopping buying every little thing you needed for stay. After that he took you for lunch. However your mind was wondering back to Joshua. As always he was unbothered by your suffering. Officer Park kept humiliating you in front of everyone but he still didn't took your side. It hurt seeing every time Joshua made you feel secondary.

After having lunch you and Jung kook were back in car. Jung kook started driving, you looked toward him as he asked you a question.

"Where you want to stay? Jeon Villa or my apartment will be okay?" Jung kook asked.

You eyes widened at the mention of Jeon Villa. He wanted to take you in his family house. It's not like you've never visited Jeon Vill, you visited there multiple times but with Joshua. You blinked few times in confusion.

"I think your apartment will be fine." You said shifting your gaze away.

"Mom will be happy to see you. Plus if you stay at apartment I don't think I'll be able to accompany you much. You know I" Jung kook stop midway speaking as you cut his sentence.

"It's okay. I'll manage at apartment. I know you remain busy. And I'm not your girlfriend, I mean taking me to family house will be little awkward." You said with sheepish smile yet with stern look.

"Yeah. But you're my friend." Jung kook said and silence fell into car.

Soon you reached at his apartment. It wasn't shock to you that he was living in such a luxurious place, after getting involved with Joshua you had seen such luxury places multiple times. Always hanging out with rich peoples you were able to see such heavenly places almost everyday. Jung kook had some work to finish at office. He was currently running the Seoul branch of Jeon Enterprises under Wonwoo's supervision. It's been a year since Jung kook came back to Korea and you heard that Jeon Wonwoo was running one of the older branch directly while running Seoul branch indirectly. You didn't thought much.  You passed your time watching some shows. Your mind was mostly distracted because of current situation.

It was getting dark outside when the door bell rang. You smiled a little thinking about Jung kook returning back. You ran toward the door to open it. You clicked the doorknob looking down at your phone as the screen showed message from Jung kook at the same time a thought crossed your mind that why he didn't used passcode.

'I won't be able to come home today, something urgent came up. I'll be there in morning.'

With fearful gaze you looked upward to see familiar face in front of you. Joshua stood there with sweetest smile yet most cunning look visible in his eyes. You panicked as you tried to close the door because you weren't ready to face him, not in this situation. But before you could close the door Joshua pushed the door and dragged you with himself. He closed the door behind you and slammed your body on the wall near the door. You closed your eyes in fear as his height towered over you.

"How many times I told you to watch carefully before opening the door, Doll."

There are mentions of other members and respective scenarios related to them which can be bit confusing. But all this stories going to be connected with each other just in different time period. I hope this helps if you feel like I'm writing something illogical.
