CHAPTER - 16

JOSHUA POV -

Joshua took a drag from cigarette staring at the empty penthouse. Even though he loved organised surrounding, the penthouse was complete mess and so his heart. Since you left Seoul without a word he's been devastated. He never thought you'd go to this extent. When you didn't approached him for months he visited penthouse. And it was completely empty with no trace of you. He never thought of this scenario. Every time you used to come back to him again and again, no matter how mean he was to you. Even if, he was rude time to time you always forgive him and go with the flow again. Joshua never knew you would turn him down for so long. Your outfits, other luxury things that Joshua brought for you were as it is in the penthouse, you left with the things you entered in penthouse. Joshua missed hearing you voice, your giggles, seeing your adorable face, innocent eyes, missed the warmth of your body.

His increasing quarrels with Isabella were throwing him off the cliff. He only visited Main House for sake of Jia. His lovely daughter. Small smile crossed Joshua's lips at the thoughts of Jia. He remembered when he heard from Isabella about the pregnancy. Although he was young at that time, he knew at some point he had to start a family, so he thought it was this moment. Seeing Isabella sad about this sweet news concerned Joshua. When Isabella told him that she didn't wanted child, Joshua was scared. In the end he somehow persuade Isabella to give birth to his daughter, to live with him for sake of their daughter. Joshua was heartbroken back then knowing Isabella wasn't in love with him and was with him just for his money. So he offered her money to stay with him. Isabella stayed with him and his daughter but just physically, she always kept doing affairs after affairs, leaving Joshua wonder why all this was happening with him. He was holding on to her for Jia, because he didn't wanted his child to raise without maternal love. He was wondering hopelessly, he busied himself in work. He saw Isabella bring random guys at home back in LA but one day Kim Taehyung called him, he was back in Korea. Isabella's reckless behaviour was in control in Korea but it didn't stopped completely.

When Joshua thought this what he have to suffer for his lifetime he met you. You were calmness to his internal hurricane, you were a drop of water for his deserted heart. He tried controlling his feelings toward you, stopping himself from approaching you when his friends provoked him but you stumbled upon him again and he couldn't contain himself. And since then, in the shadows of the city, a secret is kept - a sin that burns like a flame. He owned that sin, hidden from the whole world, his toxic addiction. His doll. You.

Joshua wasn't in his right mind when you visited The Main House of Hong. He initially thought you came to look for him because he wasn't meeting you. When you showed the papers he understood why you visited but he was furious at the fact that you barged into their personal matter. He was feeling wrong that he treated you that way. He wanted you back but he couldn't bring himself to go after you. He was tired running behind everyone to keep them in his life.

Y/N POV -

You stood infront of the aquarium on one Sunday morning. Jimin gave you tickit of the aquarium because his plans with his girlfriend cancelled suddenly. He gave you two tickets each for you and Jung kook.

You slept with Jung kook a month ago. He left next day before you woke up. You found a note with small box of ring.

'Some urgent work came up, I'm going back to Seoul. I'll come back once I finish the work here. I'm keeping the ring, if your decision changes please wear it. It'll be your choice in the end. Love you, Y/n.'

You kept the small box in your handbag not sure of your own conflicted mind. Your hook ups with Jung kook became frequent within a month to the point where people thought you two were thing. Today he was supposed to join you but he was again caught up in something and you were at aquarium alone.
